air in and out

hey guys!
small problem here..

i have a 2x3x2m grow room that isnt fully used and have 10plants...

air in and out holes are drilled through a wall and are about 3cm each... my friend says i have to make it more bigger to at least 10cm... is there any way for me to make this 3cm hole sufficient?... theres a carbon filter system blowing air out through the hole and 12cm computer fan drilled to the intake and blowing air in through the small hole...

question? will i have to make the holes larger or is there a way to just have this like it is?...

ps. my wife is crazy because of this holes and is NOT thrilled about makin them bigger :P

Make the intake fans as big as the computer fans to make them efficient. So if your computer fan is 12cm i would suggest a hole 10-11cm like your friend said.

Well same thing again. If you want it to be efficient and get rid of smell quicker than make it as big as the carbon filter exhaust thing. It will work smaller just not as well.

its hard to say, any pics would help. what size fan is your carbon air filter on? generally if you have out going air being forced out and any holes or cracks in the walls or say for instance the crack under the door air will be pulled through without an intake fan. its called displacement. if this makes sense. its kinda like when you open the front door and the back door closes.

make incoming holes a bit larger than exhaust

exhaust towards top and intake from low
with a closet and door its easy for me to tell as I am pumping the air out into the attic above and I can try to pull the door shut and it will want to stay open a certain amount which is due to the amount of negative pressure being generated by the amount of air I am forcing out, always allow the incoming holes to be bigger than the ones you are forcing air out of, this also keeps air sucking into the tent instead of stink seeping out of every crack that isnt air tight

what are you people talking about :P your intake should be 2-3 times the size of your exhaust. i dont know how to measure in cm but you say 12cm exhaust then you should have 24-36cm of intake

ok i just read again and was confused you said your intake is 12cm. either way use what i said for an example
