Air intake hoses entering room from top - what way to place them near ground?

Hi,
I pull my air inside the room from a big inlet in the wall which is located higher than the ceiling of my grow room. That means the sonoduct will enter the room from the top.

Then the sonoduct goes downwards to the floor. It is in the corner of one room.

Now my question is where to cut the ducting? Have it hang shortly over the floor or lay it on the floor and have a curve?

I hope you understand what I mean. Maybe it is not so important, but I was not able to find any information about placing the ducting beside to inlet air on the floor and let it exit near the ceiling. So I thought I ask and maybe somebody has some more detailed information about air circulation.

The more ducting = means higher cfm on your fan.

Goal is to have as little ducting as necessary so you can have a smaller fan for your intake (works the same way for the exhaust, more obstacles more cfm). If you have to allow air from near the ceiling, I would say put a fan on it to have an active intake vs passive. Otherwise you will need an exhaust that is even stronger since it will need to pull hard enough to also pull air back through your intake ducting. It wont need to be laying on the floor, hanging down to floor is just as good as long as air is moving through it.

We normally have intake at ground level so fresh air can move up through the canopy instead of coming straight in the room and back out again from the exhaust without refreshing the air.

My intake is high on my tent. I just mounted a duct flange on both sides then ran flexible ducting to the floor so it hung freely about 4" above the floor. Straight runs don't affect flow nearly as much as bends, if resistance is an issue use hard ducting to eliminate the ridges in the flexible stuff.
