Air, smart, or cloth pots?

Planning a drain to waste coco grow and was wondering what container would be best, I'm shooting for cloth due to price lol. Also the reason Im doing this is summer temps, if i keep a main pre nuted, ph'd res do I need to keep that cool? Thanks for any help!!

Smart pots are the way to go. You always need to keep your rez temps in check because if you don't that's the quickest way to brown sludge.

Noted, crap I was hoping for the $2 option as opposed to $18 one lol. So the water will still turn bad when kept in a dark light proof container huh. That may prove to be my down fall then, I was switching to coco for the summer as a solution to the heat and just assumed drain to waste would be a good option.

Definitely smart pots. Air pots are too expensive, IMO. I have both and smart pots work just as well.

air pots down side is the bottom of the pots are like a inch of the tray so any water in the try turn stagnant as the pot sits to high to re absord the water cloth pots ar4e the best way and I always change my water in the tanks every 3 days aswell

^^^^Thats the point, I have no clue lol. First attempt at Coco so not sure what works better. I am going to run drain to waste so dont think I need to change res, just top up, well thats what I was hoping lol. As for standing water would it not just get flushed out of the tray at each flood? Also not yet sure about the flood times but researching that as we speak lol. Good run off is the key I believe but its the frequency Im struggling with.

as long as you have good run off it should be fine I would cut the coco with perlight as well may I surgest clay pebbles as you can re use and reuse them unlike coco witch you can reuse but its a pain
I woudnt make things difficult if you can help it only makes for more problems keep it simple

smart. I've grown with both and didn't notice any difference other than cost and airpots are hard to water

You can put a fan blowing across the water surface in your rez and evaportive cooling will keep it cool, assuming there is no heat source nearby.

Plastic nursery pots 2gallon slope your tray 2" put them close and fill up the tray,cover plants with a 6x6 net to hold up the buds

I was hoping to keep it covered and light blocked. Again hoping temps wouldnt be as critical with drain to waste.

Use flex duct to connect a inline fan to the rez with another duct for exhaust. Have to keep an eye on PPMs as water is constantly evaporating.

I use the bags that come 25 for like 7 or 8 bucks. I mean, I personally dont smoke the container my plants grow in so for me its the cheaper the better.

Hold my dirt and leave my wallet alone.

Next run i will break out the pottery wheel and make custom cisterns... LMAO thats my 2 cents
