Yesterday I was at the pet store and I saw an airstone that was a flexible tube, rather than a stone. Said it can be bent into any shape, and bubbles come out of the whole thing. Sounded absolutely perfect for my little bubble cloner. So I bought it, went home and bent it into the shape I wanted, and it covered the area a lot better than my previous 12" stone. Then I plugged it in.
It immediately floated up to the surface. How can a company make/sell an airstone that floats? Thats like a solar powered flashlight.
I tried placing a couple small rocks on it, but they block/reroute the bubbles. Placing a steel rod across it would work great, until it rusts. So today im gonna look for a stainless steel rod, and if i cant find one im gonna go back to the regular stone.
