AK-47 Lowryder Autos in Aerogarden - First Grow - Pictures included!

Thanks rak, it's really up to you, if you have the room i'd say wait until she finish stretching if not go for the transitional dose and start bloom nutes she will stop growing taller somewhat and start focusing on flowering/budding due to the increase of pk nutes.
Sounds good. I will wait as I still have another foot before I will need to detach the lamp. They have been growing around an inch a day, so another seven days should be just about right. Then I'll do the transition nutes for 4-5 days and more her on over to full bloom! Its so exciting coming home from work or waking up in the morning and seeing the progress! The nodes keep getting bigger and bigger and the plants taller and bushier! :-P

Here's some more pics from last night!

yea i know what you mean its more fun growing it then smoking it ....all day and now im board when im come home its like i got nothing to do and this white widow i got just makes me paranoid & couchlock...

but shes looking real good so far so when you switch to 12/12 your only going to feed it Bloom??
Paranoid and Couchlocked?! You need to harvest it earlier :blsmoke:

They both stopped growing taller as of this weekend. One is around 18 inches while the other is only 10 inches. I'm not sure why there is such a difference in the heights as they have been getting the exact same treatment. I do have to say the smaller one is much much bushier. The nodes are clumped together densely, compared to the other that is stretched out. The smaller also is very wide. Much wider than it is tall. Very odd, but they seem to be producing some nice nodes on the tops of the branches, as well as all up and down the main stock and branches.

I just started the transition nutrients two days ago. I have the res up to 800PPM. They seems to be liking it. I see no signs of nutrient burn at all. I'm going to stick with the transition nutrients until Saturday and then go full bloom, which is the 3 parts bloom, 2 parts micro, and 1 part grow. Since they are auto flower I am just going to stick to my 20/4 schedule with the full bloom nutes. Although I do turn my non aerogarden lights off when I go to bed at night, which is normally around Midnight. So, they plants only get the AG lights from Midnight to 4am, then no light from 4am to 8am, then everything back on at 8am.

Does anyone have any recommendations on hand held microscopes to look at the coloring of the crystals (i forget the real name of them)? I'm trying to harvest when they are milky white, so I get the heady high instead of a couchlock high like our friend Sticky seems to be running into :bigjoint:

I'll post some pictures tonight or tomorrow morning :hump:

Alright Rak looking good bro....It wont be long now, you might look into a little LST on than main stem. If you can even out that canopy a little those lower buds will be a lot better for it...Be careful not to snap it, but they can bend a lot with little stress to the plant.....

Low Stress Training, LST....Bend the stem and tie it down even with the rest of the canopy, easy....look into supercropping as well....

Hi Everyone! Its around day 70 on my grow! Time flies!

Everything is looking great! I have changed the light cycle to 18/6 and it seems to have allowed the buds to grow a bit better than the 20/4 cycle. I have added a few new nutrient batches with the GH three series nutrients. I am using three parts bloom, two parts micro, and one part grow. The PPM has been around 1200, and the plants seem to be loving it. The buds are looking thicker and smelling stinkier every day :-P. We actually were away for the weekend, and when we returned.............the whole house stunk like the gift of the gods! I'm going to stick with the nutrients until Monday of next week. I will then switch them over the Ph'd spring water only to flush out the nutrients. No one likes a chemical tasting bud bongsmilie

Here are a few pictures from this morning. The bud on the main stock of the tall plant is around 6 inches tall. It looks beeeaaauuuuuuutiful.

markl, thanks for the tip about the pump. I was worried that when I put my seedlings(when they are big enough), into the root riot plugs that it would be too wet all the time promoting stem problems. So I will use the digital timer for the pump going every other day for an hour, using airstone constantly. I grew in an Hydrofarm years ago with the flora series nutes and never had that problem using hydroton pebbles. Hopefully when my beans arrive, (others got lost so Attitude resent for free), we will see........

Rak, would you say that it's just a slower start when they go fresh seedling into the AG plugs as opposed to getting them bigger first, then transplanting? When I hydro'd last, I transplanted tenderly rinsing soil from roots gently. Plants were about 4 1/2" tall and had no problems.

With the Holiday season upon us and Bitcoin now a currency for the rich and crazy, I am looking to buy an AG-Ultra that is on sale for under 250. I see your last update on this thread in February and am wondering what the final results of the grow were before I buy one. Are there any pics of the plants at full grown or budding? How well did the AG work in the end and (since this will be my first grow since HS) is it as easy to use as it seems.
Thanks
