AK-47 or Kali Mist ?

I'd go with the Kali Mist personally, what i've grown has blown any ak47 ive smoked out of the water. She'll reward you well...

yes the kali mist is gonna be something nobody has because no one wants to grow it commercially. I have heard that it is fantastic and well worth the wait but you gotta expect tall stretchy plants that take a long time to flower and not heavy yeilding. Personally I love AK47 and it's supposed to be easy to grow and much shorter flowering time.

I have been growing Kali Mist for about 2 years. I also grew AK-47 and to me, there is no comparison. Kali Mist is head and shoulders above AK-47. The AK is a very potent strain but is a different type of high. After a few grows, I let her go because I had better strains.

My Kali Mist is full of resin...I am talking about dripping off the leaves type of resin. She is my best yielder by far and the high has no ceiling. You need to be careful when smoking alot of Kali cause she will rip you apart.

If you dont train her she can get quite big. Nothing that is not manageable but she has some long legs. I super crop mine and in soil...under a 600HPS...with a 3 week veg and I pull 3+ zips per plant. Big, big buds that are very dense. Not rock hard but dense. Mine get about 30-36 inches with a good SC.

I let my go 13-14 weeks and have let them go as long as 17 weeks but however long you flower, rest assured, you will get some of the best meds possible. Kali is nothing but a long legged, sexy-sweet strain that is a pleasure to grow. I have a perpetual grow so waiting 14 weeks is not a problem. I suggest you have a shorter flowering strain so you can allow your Kali to "go the distance".

Good luck and as far as I am concerned, Serious Seeds aresome of the best genetics the general public can grow. I have grown everything of theirs but Chronic. Top shelf genetics.

I know this an ancient thread but I just have the same dilemma.. First place I wanted to order AK47 which is constantly out of stock and then I started to do some research about Kali Mist. I don't mind about the extra flowering time of the Kali Mist, the thing I care is the most potent and strong smoke to deal with my high tolerance..


So Kali Mist takes over AK47?

if you want that Sativa head trip.. go with Kali Mist

I think the above comments really cover it well.

Kali Mist is going to give you a more unique product in terms of flavor and high quality, but its also a lot harder to grow.

Its going to stretch, and its going to take a long time to finish.

Great plant, just not something for a novice grower. If you have a few grows under your belt, and especially if you've grown some sativa-leaning stuff before, go for it.

I would go with AK-47, faster flower time at about 9-11 weeks. potent, well bred. can't go wrong with either, the ak stinks something fierce in flower though, if smell is an issue then Kali mist would be the better selection because i doubt it reeks like ak does.

anything ss is welcome in my garden. running ak, wr, and kali... kali stays in the personal jar... gets the ol' lady in the mood

Does KM have the skunky smell to it in flowering? I just finished Sour Diesel and the wife wasn't too pleased with the stink.

My KM has sort of a slightly over ripe pineapple smell to it. Definitely not skunk.

So essentially it's not really pungent then? Fantastic news as I'm putting her in after the holidays.

It definitely puts out a smell in flower but it should be quite mild compared to your Sour D.

I'm sure you've heard this before, but carbon filters are your best friend if you are trying to manage flower smell. I like smelly strains so I have a way-oversized filter/fan setup...

I have the filter but I'm afraid it's too small. I need to get something bigger than 170CFM.

Also, I cannot see a single picture in your Kali Mist journal post.

I went through a few configurations on my exhaust system before I finally said "F it" and the bought something sized for a room 4x bigger than my flower room. Kind of expensive but problem solved.

I don't know what happened to the pics in that thread. Bummer.

A week ago AK47 feminised was available on Attitude so I went for it and placed my order. Yesterday Laura from the Attitude emailed me that has been an error on their system and AK47 fems is NOT available..
So I told them to put the Kali Mist instead, hope its for the best.

Though I am in favor of the AK I don't think you'll regret anything you grow from Serious Seeds. All their gear has germinated for me and I've never had any of their stuff herm. on me.

I grew out a Serious Seeds Feminized AK-47 a couple grows back, and I wasn't all that impressed with the quality of the pheno that I got. I got close to a 1/4 lb. off of her though. Making it my best yielding plant that I have grown so far. The bud looked fantastic. It was completely covered in trichs, but I thought it lacked in potentcy. The taste wasn't all that great to me either. It could have just been a shitty pheno, but I won't be growing it again. There were some people who really liked the AK though. It just wasn't me!
