yes the father usually is the dominant one, if you want a more indica trait in a strain use a indica father. I have read that the mother usually is the dominent gene for colorand armora, but thats contraversial (however you spell it). There is a set of genes for each of the plants specific characterisitics, hundreds of comb's, and to know which one is donminent for each characterisitics takes years and years of breeding trials of each specific characterisitic, but like you have done their are many journals on this subject from ambsterdam and europe. I like how you want to get into the science behind breeding and how do it to obtain wanted traits. FUN FUN
