ak48 purple edges and curling stalk

whats up with the purple?
and why is she curling like this?
Should I start feeding now?
The root just emerged from the bottom of the cup.

hey there dookieslim. yeh if the roots are in the water give em a 1/4 does of nutes and work from there. did you thoroughly rinse your hydroton pebbles? and did you soak your rockwool overnight before your put the seed in? Those are the only 2 i could think of so early in the piece.

Too much water. I use rockwool myself. To prep rockwool just drop in pH water until completely soaked, about 20 seconds, then shake out eccess water. No need to water for the first 4-7 days. No nutes until first real leaves show.

agree with above too much water,rockwool is soaking.

id say rockwool is too wet,, id cover it up before the light enduces algae growth, been stung with that befor, also hold off on the nutes for a week or so,, they really dont need it at that size, i find them very easy to burn if feeding starts too young, personally i wait till plant growth slows or they have at least 3 sets of leaves, also if the roots are plentiful, then i give a small dose,, and see how she goes. bubbles grow so quick , its easy to see when ya plant wants some
also is ya light directly above the seedling?
