My mate has just started to grow some AK48 never heard of this before anyone else heard of AK48 or has smoked it. I bet its a real killer, when its ready will be round my mates to taste some of that.

I am just now germinating some AK48 seeds. 6 of them. I don't know much about it. All I know is that it stinks really bad and has a pretty high yield. The THC content is pretty high too. I can't wait until its done!!

Ive had some called AK47, not sure if its the same strain or not. But if you havent had the AK47, holy hell. its a nice high, very clean, almost citrusy.

Yup checking them out myself, hey can any of you tell me if its a sativa more high or a indica high? Just cause i have read different seed sites with different both, indica and sativa like high? So dont know for sure what to expext. I want to hear about the high when you try it Kortalia. Reall intrested.:joint:hope its some good shit man!

just sprouted 6 ak48 seeds from nirvana by way of worldwidemarijuanaseeds.com. ill let ya know how they turn out but ive heard conflicting info on this strain. some say it is the same strain as the ak47, just seeded by nirvana, some say it is a completely different strain while others say it is ak47 crossed with another strain. wish nirvana would clear up the lineage.

Yeah, i heard all that too, which makes it a bit of a mystery, i heard its Nirvanas northern light crossed with jock horror, but who knows for sure... it would be great to know all that, but i guess if its good smoke, then who cares. Id love to hear the info of your six girls (fingers crossed at least)

The original AK47 is by Serious seed and AK48 by Nirvana.

The smoke is different; 47 more sativash while 48 is indica. With most Nirvana strains there are quite a few phenos to sort through but over all a great deal.

ak-48 is one of the best strains i have smoked to date i have 1 in a bubbler sytem at moment trying to get a mother plant up and going. The bud keeps it sativa high yet cause of its indica father it remains very short most plants around 2-3 ft tall when finshed. This is not for you average smoker it doesnt have a very skunky taste more musky kinder taste hard to describe. The high is unreal not for faint hearted p.s your freinds may pull a whitey my freinds brother did and he smokes every day of the week

I hate to come in here and sound negative but I'm just going to tell you my experience,,
I grabbed up 3 packs from Gypme 1 year ago just to try them as I read and seen some pics of some nice specimens and for the low low price I thought what the hell...

I germed 2 packs and ended up with the nastiest specimens with ungodly stretch under 1k lighting I've seen in years,,yes it was even way worse that Heavy Duty Fruity and I thought that was impossible.

These gals had the nastiest smells like intense green broccoli I actually threw them out as nobody was interested...I sure in the hell wasn't.

In a word I'd say the strain was detestable I know for a fact that they
don't have 1 single gene from any ak47 by serious seeds in them why
these Jokers would even try and fool the buyers of their garbage is beyond me.

I try and keep things fair and wonder why my 20 beans were so different
than what others have had and have yet to come up with an answer?
Were mine somehow mislabled? I can't imagine who would breed seed like these? how fugged up the P1 stock must have been...That strain should
be wiped off the face of the earth to prevent any further contamination.

They were in the sealed envelopes from Nirvana,and inside the neat lil
sealed ziplock baggie with the green leaf on it...maybe Gypme slipped
me some turds,and it's a conspiracy....LOL!! I don't think so.
I'd also like to note that they were consistent,all the gals were like this,and lacked in trichs,decent floral growth....I'm never gonna waste my time on that bunk again...

I'm embarrased to even admit I tried them,when I have so much better stuff,but hey I was curious.

Sorry I hope yours turn out better..

As with most Nirvana seeds, there is quite a bit of pheno variation.. This is not totally bad as there are some keepers you just got to find them.

As for AK48 and AK47.. AK48 is in no way close to being even an F2 of AK47 if you look at the heritage they're not the same.

AK-47 (Serious) Colombian X Mexican X Thai X Afghani

I am not entirely sure about AK48 heritage but pretty sure it's not AK47

As for potency ak47 is just hands down better. Not to say AK48 is not pleasurable.

Don't get me mistaken AK48 can be pretty good. It's cheap, and most of the pheno's are great.

:confused:I'm not sure if I'm in the right place so forgive me if I'm not. I started a modest closet grow (Ak48 Feminized seeds) and was wondering if any of you pros can help me out and tell me if im doing good so far.
I'll attach some pics and describe them for you.
I'm using Miracle grow moisture control with 3 weeks worth of nutes, one 6 in fan to blow, 1 computer fan to suck air out and I just added one at the bottom today (7.29.09) to pull air in, 1 bowl of water to try and maintain humidity, four 27watt 100watt replacment cfls with a total of 5,600 lumens. The light spectrum is in the 5,500K range. I didn't start out using these, I had the wrong bulbs at first ( Two soft white 2,700k spectrum) when she still only had her first true leaf pairs. As you can see I've changed the size of the container between week 2 and week 3 so the tap root would have a longer stretch. The temp stays around 78- 82 degrees F. I mist her with poland spring water and I water her with the same. I raised the light to induce stretching after noticing during week two she was staying small and started to shoot out lateral stems. She's grown a bit in height since then.
The pics names shows the week (W) the date, and time. The ones named IMG were taken today, tomorrow makes 4 weeks.
