I grew a pack of 10 feminized AI seeds that a friend brought back from Amsterdam. I found that the strain, or at least the batch of seeds that I got, was very unstable. I got about 3 plants worth keeping, while the rest were either too stretchy or sensitive to pH/nutrient levels. I also noticed male "bananas" in the last days of flowering on a couple, but not all plants.
The smell from the budding plants is devine, a well balanced boquet of the heavy perfume of white widow, topped with the leathery astringency of haze.
The stem smell is very different from the finished product. At first, the stem smell was distinctly vinegar smelling with a metallic note (just as noted on the GH flavor wheel).
The high is strong, but also inconsistant between the different strains.
The variation displayed in just these 10 seeds leads me to believe that Arjan didn't put this strain through the necessary 4-7 generations needed to stabilize favorable characteristics properly.
I was very pleased with the Neville's Haze and Hawaiian Snow, but have not had any experience with GH indicas. What I am considering doing is ordering two colored mix packs (G & E) and growing those 10 plants out to get a good idea of what to expect from each strain. If I find a mother plant that I really like, I have the option of buying more seeds of that specific strain to find a superior mother or just sticking with what I have.
