Albino traits in plant? WTF

Im so thankful to find this thread. I recently bought some seed and the first one to pop up has yellow leaves and a bright pink stem. Now several inches tall and reading all the posts Im hopeful for a unique and exciting grow.DSCN2352.jpg

"As in animals, albinism in plants is caused by lack of pigment. However, in plants the lack is fatal because the missing pigment is chlorophyll. Though not all mutations or unusual gene combinations are harmful. In fact, by watching for favorable abnormalities it has been possible to develop important new varieties of fruit, flowers and ornamental plants Not all plant abnormalities are due to mutations or unusual gene combinations since external causes can create abnormal appearances."

From my experience, it was cool to look at but wasn't anything special as far as potency or yield with my half albino.

I've got this exact thing going on right now with my Purple Cookie. It threw me off, because when I first saw the yellowing, I thought I had somehow burnt my plant with some nute issues in my soil. I let it go, and now she's 25 days into Veg and she looks FANTASTIC! The half yellow and half green leaves appear to be on one cola at this time, but we'll see what happens. I'll try to get some pictures so people can see the beauty of this odd situation. What's really strange is, the albino leaves are so healthy and vibrant! The buds from this plant should be VERY interesting!

That's how mine was. Only one bud out of 12 plants. I've been growing this strain with the same genetics for over a year and this is the first time it's happened. Freaked me out! That's why I cut it off as soon as I saw it.

I thought the same thing! People swear the finished bud is awesome in color, potency, and taste! We shall see!

Plants aren't making enough chlorophyll to keep the greenery green. Happened to me once when I cut off too many fan leaves. I had 4 Armageddon plants produce worthless bud. I'll bet the bud is worthless. BigSteve.

The white areas won't have any chlorophyl so it won't be converting light. It is cool looking though - in a freakish two-headed cow kinda way.
