Has anyone been listening to The Alex Jones Show for the past 2 days? Alex interviewed Peter Joseph, producer of Zeitgeist yesterday and today he is breaking down the film and the people in it. He says the dude is New World Order. What do you guys think? I saw the 1st version and i am currently going to download and watch the newest one. What is the movement about?

The movement is about making Alex Jones some moolah by pandering to the paranoid. Seems to be working well too!

So are you saying that Alex Jones has something to do with the movie? I know it has a few EndGame clips in it. Also, why does the guy Peter Joseph use an alias opposed to his real name? But then there is a picture of him on the internet. I don't understand. :wall::wall:

Alex Jones had a lot to disagree with Addendum, particularly the idea that machines replacing humans in the workforce is "freeing" us. Alex says that is making us prisoners/zeitgeist addendum says it is freeing us from having to waste time working instead of creating.

Well, I worked for a major wireless phone company and the software we used to activate phones was being enhanced to do it automatically. What left is there to create and if we stop working, how will we pay off our debts individually and as a nation? I guess it partially makes sense to me, but the idea of this "Utopia/Venus Project" does seem a bit occultist. And the guy who does the intro to the movie, is he really the UN's "Christ"? What's his name?

Jiddu Krishnamurti.

I have no idea about him being the universal Christ. I actually do not understand Alex's argument at all on that subject.

From what I have read and heard from of and about Krishnamurti, he was just enlightened and said the same kind of stuff that the Buddha and Jesus said.

The utopia that the Venus Project talks about seems a little impossible/sinister to me. I don't know, I have not read about it because I don't care about going to the stars. It seems like man has a place on earth and we probably won't be permitted to travel to the stars until we figure out how to live peaceful and properly amongst ourselves on our home planet.

Also debts was part of the whole arguement of Addendum. They talk about how we live in a monetary system and the system only cares about profits.

The claim is that we are ready to evolve out of money altogether and then everyone will get whatever they need or want and not need to pay for it. It probably does not make a lot of sense because we are so conditioned to the idea that you have to pay for something, but in reality everything should be free. Air is free and essential to life, water should be free, as well as food and land. The concept of ownership is outdated and I think as our species evolves it will fade away as well.

I disagree.

Ownership is a basic necessity of any culture, and of any civilization.

You can not have a society that does not have ownership, because with out ownership there is no way of protecting your property from others.

How would you feel if some one came into your house and just pissed all over the floor?

How about if they came in and stole items that you had collected that were interesting to you, and had value to you?

Ownership is essential, because with out it you have no belonging.

This talk of "evolving" beyond it, is bullshit.

Communism and Socialism repackaged in a newer, even stupider package than before.

I agree. I like the whole idea of a resource based economy.

Why can't we have wave farms and geo-thermal power plants?

Because we're too busy building weapons.

IMO Alex Jones is very similar to McCarthy. Both pedaled conspiracies and profited off them. I used to believe some of the stuff, but too much of what he says is blatant lies.

As for whole argument of resource based economies, isn't that what we evolved from? With something like that is implemented what will happen to things that aren't essential to survival, but are essential for defining the human race, i.e. the arts?

Well arguably, we'll all have time to do nothing but "create" so everyone will be an artist. We'll be drowning in art...

I don't really believe it. Likely too many people will do nothing, but sit on their ass and watch TV.

As for the artists... I suspect they'll stop seeing any point in it, because there will be no way for outstanding artists to benefit from their creativity, and their efforts.

That's the beauty of it. If we aren't forced to work to survive, we can pursue those things that aren't conducive to survival like the arts, music, and philosophy.

How much better would your garden be if you didn't have to work? Would you learn to play a musical instrument if you had that much free time? Maybe you could get into base jumping or anything else.

Imagine the freedom.

That's the problem though. Some people would have to work in order to create enough food/energy/ect for the rest of the population. There would not be enough jobs to go around (IMO at least). Part of the population would work, the rest wouldn't. Where would we be then?

Unless the point would be that everyone makes enough for themselves only. That's the scenario I had imagined at first leading to my original comment. Or a Soviet Russia-esque scenario. The arts more or less died, although that's not so much because of the economic system as the government. Anyway, I'm not against changing the economic system, but I'm too much of realist to believe that it would be possible. Or at least possible in a relatively short timeline.

I feel what you're saying! The world is too populated for everyone to go along with this and be like "okay" all peacefully. If it does happen what is the stage in between what we are in now and this Utopia? Seems like tons of rebellion and violence to me.

idk if u guys hav actually watched the whole thing... i thought it was really good... the north american union thing amazed me.. i cant believ i havnt heard of it ! ... there already starting to create money that can be used n canada, us, and mexico... by doing tht its making one huge nation and thn our constitution will literally be thrown out the window...
