Alien Bubbaberry x Hells Fire Test Run/Pheno Hunt

Day 23



They are looking gorgeous in the new 4x4 I said the hell with buying a new MH bulb that I'm only going to use for a couple weeks at most. The 3x3 just became the dedicated veg space and these will finish veg in the 4x4. I'll end up flowering Alien Bubbas 2-5 and move 1 to the veg tent because there's no way it'll be big enough in the next couple weeks. It's growing just not...I would probably cull it, but the wife thinks it's cute...I topped AB #3 a day or so ago and it continues to dominate the batch. Will be topping AB #2, 4 , and 5 within the next week.

Day 26/27 ALMOST PARTY TIME!



So I've been at it since 9am today. Was abnormally mild today so I cleaned up my yard and my gutters. Took the boy to get our hair buzzed then swung by the store to grab some things. Along the way I grabbed 2 new 24gallon totes so I can mix my soon-to-be supersoil. Got the light hung in the 3x3 for veg. A friend of mine gave me like 5-6 aloe vera babies!! Gonna transplant those tomorrow and put those in the veg tent. Transplanting Alien Bubbas #2-5 into 5 gallon smart pots and then getting stuff ready to flower. I figure I can take clones a couple of weeks into the stretch and be fine. By then the lowers should be decent enough for me to just lollipop and use as clones. I'm very fond of LST and topping, but as idk sex yet it'd be an obvious waste of time. I do like the fact that they're growing mostly indica. Very nice structure on AB#3 and I REALLY hope its a female. Very symmetrical and stout trunks on all of them though even the runt. I'll be flipping to flower in the next week. Am I doing any good yet? All those roots in those pots are okay right? lol More updates coming soon. Keep it green!

Very good bro. Sounds great. Yeah roots coming thru smartpot all goid. They will just air prune themselves.

Day 30 from seed crack (just before the flip)



So things are looking pretty good I think. Been real busy with work. They're still in 1g smarties because I'm waiting on my soil STILL. Apparently there was a mixup with something and they're behind schedule so yea...can't fight the mail I guess. All plants except AB#1 have been topped btw. I forgot to mention that in a previous post so they've had at least a few days to recover. As soon as my soil gets here they're going into 5g smarties and flipped to 12/12. I've already got them setup and everything all I have to do is throw them in and add the surrounding soil to fill the pot. Should be here by the weekend and they're begging for bigger pots I can tell. The runt actually grew a bit...pics are in order Alien Bubbas 1-5.

First ever batch of supersoil...microbial webbing much?

The flip...threw in the 600w hps. Transplanted AB #2-5 into 5 gallon smart pots with fresh Roots. All plants were watered with coconut water and 20ml of PBP Grow. Each plant received 1/2-3/4 of a gallon of water as I hadn't watered them in a few days. Changed the timer in the 4x4. Threw AB #1 into the 3x3 under the T5 with the aloe. Away we go...


Front two are AB #2 and #3. Back two are AB #4 and #5.

Ok so had a 3/4 work day today. Got to come home a bit early, which I don't mind cuz it's been balls to the walls here over the last couple of months. Went and did my usual after-work routine. Pack a bowl of some kush, get nice and ripped, then go and check on everything. Everything in the flower tent was nice and perky. I was glad to see they took to the transplant nicely. Have plans to finish out the veg tent this weekend. I need to get some minor things done, but it's mostly arranging things where I want them. Need to get things lined up for clones/etc. Have plenty of soil now both base and supersoil(which has been cooking for 1 week today) AND I added like 125 redworms to each supersoil bin yesterday. Eventually I'm making my way to my own personal compost pile. Cant wait for spring....keep it green all

Day 3 from FLIP



So here's the tent this evening. Had a long day at work and today is watering day so I barely made it back home to get it done before lights off. This evening they got watered with 3/4 of a gallon of water with molasses. I just mixed up 3 gallons of water and added 1/2tsp of molasses per gallon jug of water and mixed thoroughly. I did make sure to mix up the molasses w a splash of hot water beforehand though and then added to each jug individually. So I'm glad to report that each plant has a bit of a funky smell coming from it also...I cracked the tent and was like....mmm....skunk mayhaps? I also did a tiny bit of trimming on each plant. Removed the very top set of fan leaves because they were massive and the bottom nodes were starting to really grow, but they were nice and shaded out :/ No worries. I'm not scared to remove some leaves here and there if it's for the greater good. As you can see AB#2/3 took nicely to their topping and are showing ALL kinds of new growth. AB#4 is unique in its own way. It has a very STOUT structure and while it's fans are massive and kinda protrude from its stalk, there is a WHOLE LOT going on in there as far as nodal growth. AB#5 just looks kinda funky right now because rather than cut more fan leaves off of it I just tucked the lower branches on top of those bigger fan leaves so they can be held up a bit better. Other than that....so far so good I do believe.

Forgot to mention--> AB#1 is doing some decent growing as well. I have the veg tent almost completely setup. I do plan on taking clones from the 4x4 here in the next week or so. In the veg tent I have my cloner, humidifier, and microbe tea brewer ready to rock and roll. Temps have been solid in both tents

Day 8 From Flip



So far I've ended up with 2 confirmed males and at least 1 confirmed female. Alien Bubbas #3 and #5 showed balls. 'Tis a shame because #3 has done very well on the growth end of things. Don't think I'll miss #5. I tried my best to take pics of their structures and the sacs before culling them. Alien Bubba #1 is starting to show male also I do believe. A friend of mine who is growing my Skywalker OG cut wants the males for his spare tent so I can store them there for future use. At the present time I have no room for them until I get my females identified and actually growing perpetually. Took clones from AB #2 and #4 yesterday. I'll take more pics later when the veg tent comes on and the flower tent goes off. Sorry for the hps shot, but i'll get some pistil shots and dark shots up later this evening.

Thanx for swinging through AP! =) Really excited about the progress with everything thusfar. Hopefully I get some killer results! Learned a lot so far with more to come I'm sure. Soil has treated me decent thusfar

Night shot. They were sleeping pretty hard. Look nice so far. Starting to bush out. I did prop them both up on 5g buckets. I need to get somemore 6" ducting and somemore chain so I can adjust the heighth of my light in the 4x4. Now they're about 20" from the coolglass. Should be getting nice penetration =)

So a few days ago AB #4 showed male. Culled. AB#2 had both the start of pistils and balls...had to cull Reloading...dropped my last 3 AB seeds. I would crack the Sweet and Sour Cookies, but I need to wait until my 2x Chocolate Mint and Critical Cheese cycle through a bit. I'm very disappointed I didnt find a female...but i guess optimistically speaking, I learned alot about soil and for the most part they looked healthy until their demise...ugh...I hate bad updates

Sorry to hear of issues an appreciate your time testing an hope better luck with others. The Alien Bubbaberry #1 crosses have shown few hermies but keepers are in there

Brief update. 2 of my last 3 seeds cracked. Dropped in some cups today. The 3rd seed looks like it'll pop in another 24 hrs. We shall see.

3rd bean popped today. Dropped it in a cup as well. Will update on their progress in a week or so. On a side note my Critical Cheese and the 2 Chocolate Mint are growing up nicely =)
