alittle sketched out about elect. bill....what you guys think???

Hello all,

So in the last 3 months my electric bill has gone from just under a $100 to about $300-400 consistantly every month now.

I live in the northeastern portion of the US.

Does anyone have any electrical bill experience or insight???? anything will be appreciated. Is that the type of increase that will attract the popo or any question?

That seems like a rather large difference but I know people who have had a larger jump then that. You should make sure to sure off EVERY regular light that is not in use and TV and computer and stuff like that.

Also, dont forget to pay it. Stay on top of it and you should have less to worry about.
Maybe somebody else can help you more.

Good Question...How Many Watts Are You Running? And On What Cycles? Check Your Old Electric Bills And See How Much You Pay Per KiloWatt/Hour...Then You Should Be Able To See How Much Your Lights Are Costing You. Or Just Ask How Much You're Paying Next Time You Pay The Bill.

My thoughts exactly. I am running 3 400w HPS 12/12 right now, but vegged for 2 1/2 months with 4 400w MH on 24/7. During vegging, my bill spiked a whopping $60, now during flowering, it's about %30 higher than normal. I'm gonna slowly start raising the monthly bill, so that I can have 6 400w lights going at once if I need them.

But really thats not that big a deal. The power company is not likely to turn you in. It's not in thier job description, nor thier best interest. (Can't pay your bill or use more electricity in jail)As long as you pay your bill, it's all good. Most folks get caught, and the electric bill comes into play when the cops suspect something is up. They (the cops) will then go looking into your electric bill. It's not only the spike in usage they look at, it's the patterns of usage they look at also. They know whats up growing, and they'll be looking for light cycles of 18/6, 12/12, and 24/7 . Kinda hard to do anything about that. There are some things you just can't escape. No worries.

im running 2 1000w's. airconditioner and air purifier; and im using soil.


i have a 600w lumatec but i thank god i decided to wait till next grow because that would push me to the 4-500$ range.

I was considering investing in a propane backup generator for 2k but i mentioned it on here and some were skeptical about running those all the time and there reliability. anyone use 7kw generator because at this point im seriously thinking of picking one up??????

Replace all the incandescent bulbs in your house with Compact Fluorescents. I got these and they're great, same light intensity and color of regular bulbs but you save sooo much power especially if you have a lot of lights:

I think AL b runs a generator setup. Honestly, changing your light bulbs isn't going to put a dent in a 3,4, or 5 hundred dollar bill. The things that take a lot of energy would be your frig, TV, Computer, Freezers, Dryers. Etc. If you could change to gas you would be better off.

U can unplug ya appliances, phone charger, cpu shit dat u not using right at the minute.
dont leave the t.v. on if u do.
Even it stuff is off it still uses a lil amt of elect.
