All-in-one DIY Aero Cloner/Veg/Flower Systems.....

Thanks for your post fellow grower lol with the credit crunch this was a life changer i am now ready to build my first cloner instead of buying one and the money i saved will surely be spent on new strain for my garden ..YOUR THE MAN DUDE ...

Hi epix, you're the reason I joined this forum, I aprecciate you by all means. Although since I found rollitup.org through you, I found pretty damn good threads other than this subject or about "simple/mediumless aeroism", which are taking me days to finish from start to end, you are "the" search result that took me here, so thank you for that either! And since I'm following your thread for sometime, it's good to see you back in the bussines once more. I will follow this thread now as a member. What heppened the last time by the way? I've got three questions for you if you could take just 1 minute of yours for me.

1- There are no neoprene collars where I live, I can only purchase online from another country which I really don't want to prior to shipping bills. I really don't wanna use hydrotron kinda stuff either, just like you. So is there an alternative to neoprene collars/plugs comes to your mind? (would those white synthetic bubble things comes within every fragile package -like those in the tv/refrigirator or other electronic stuffs' boxes- work? If I seal it with nylone for example?).

2- What do you think about StinkBud's Aero/NFT system if you already read a little of his crowded project thread? His Veg and Clonning system is nothing different than yours but flowering system he does is based on NFT. What would be the bennefits of chosing NFT over normal res+tank system in the flowering stage? Would you advice one to another? 3- What do you control exactly in your room, if you were to make a list? Humidy? Co2? Temps? Do you have any sort of automated systems?

1 of my kids got in some cop trouble and they brought her home, as he wuz leavin he said "smells like someone growing round here"......
I told him, "hold on cop'r, i just smoked a joint", he smilled and left.....
Needless to say, i cut everything down that night! All except my mother plants, they don't smell....
been enough months now so back she goes runnin!

Anyhow.... as for your questions.....

1. A neoprean substatute..... and you should be able to find it Anyware they sell Kids toys! Those Big square foamy letters and building blocks! get the big square flat one's and cut out the circles. those are the same thickness and i'm pretty sure they are Neoprean as well, just coloured!

2. ya i've been thro his thread, not bad setups. As for the main differences, using NFT you gotta make sure your mix is perfect all the time cause the roots are right in it, ware as with a seperate rez give's less feed to the roots leaving less chance a mixture will affect the plants so quick. it all depends on the time and effort you wanna put into it, your preferance...
*2 things on a note, he states to use a 2000 PPM mix in it! NEVER go over 1600 PPM! and you don't reach that 1600 till the last few weeks! Also, he Never does produce a pound outa them!

3. well, i control everything! lol, other then timmers for lights, fans and pumps, there is only a Portable AC/dehumidifier unit...
i got the main exaughst fan runnin 3 times a night for 5 min's, so i can keep the cool air in as long as possible.
all the pumps are on cycle timmers that allow 1min on and 3min off... (cloner cycle timer allows me 40secs on 2min off)
all the lights are on basic timmers....
i use a small humidifier during the dry winter, but the Aero systems allow enough moisture out to keep things good the rest of the year.
No CO2 as of yet, hopin to get some goin this winter tho....
the portable AC is set to 75 and keeps it round 82 when the lights are on. and it's set to keep humidity at 45%.

An automated system would be nice, but they TOO frigin costly! Not to mention, just 1 of them could'nt handle the Amp's i need!

man i cant find that corrugated plastic anywhere that isnt in a little 1 ' x 1' piece.

ive tried all the various home stores, various marts and hobby stores.

any hints out there besides ordering it online?

one more question.

on the veg and flower units where the pump hose connects to the grow jug from the rez. how is that all working? in the pix it looks like its 4-5 inches from the sprayer line. does it bend upto the lid? does it hit a 90 in the grommet then to another 90 to the sprayer line? is it a removable connection? how do you take the lid completely off?

Good day again crud, stoked ya found the stuff!

just so you know, i don't use the veg table for veg anymore, plants were getting too big after i veg'd them for a while,
so i changed that table into another flower table and just leave the clones in the cloner for a few days or so longer!

now for your Q....

The pump's in the rez,
flexy hose bout 15" straight up to a 90,
then to a 3" hard hose thro the table using a rubber gromet,
into another 90 then about a 4" flexy hose to the next 90,
wich attaches to the main sprayer line....

Always make sure the holes you make in the table for the gromets are a little smaller then what you want for the best seal..

my pumps are 240 gpm, and as long as you don't get too elaberate with the sprayer runs (extra sections, too many sprayers then nessesary) it work like a top!

as for how you get the lid off, just pull off the flexy hose at the 90 you need,
best to do the flexy hose for that cause it'll reattach forever, ware as harder hose will stretch and stay that way....

one more Q.....muhahahaa........what mm is your corrugated sheets? ive found 2 4 6 10 mm thickness. every jump in mm is like a 10 buck per sheet increase.

I let the clones stay in the cloner for 18 days, thats the only Veg cycle they gonna get!
i'll be restockin the cloner today with gremlin.....

Pollish it off....
Apply Weather stripping to the Main Grow Jug's top rim,
Put everything together and place the Pump,
Mesure/cut and attach the remaning Pump tubes, (90's on eithet end with 1/2" tubbing thro the 1/2" Rubber Gromet you installed in step 4)
Put the Air Stone in the rez and your ready to test it!
Fire it up and make sure it works good, once again, if all the sprayers don't pump good,
