i just remembered i bought a digital hanna ph tester a long time ago, i think it was less than 50$ online, and i put it away cause i never thought it was acurate, even after i calibrated, i would put it in the water and it would never stay on one specific number. i think im gonna try to find it and give it another go

The bulbs that came with your new lamp are marginal. Change them to a combination of Ocean Sun and Ultra Sun bulbs from Zoo Meds (amazon or petco has them). Start using miracle grow ferts with every watering. Keep the lights close but not touching....I guarantee you your light fixture isn't too bright. Think about how bright that big yellow ball in the sky is. And don't give up.

lol god im a moron sometimes..... i wonder if theres any ph testers yall would recommend i buy online instead of the grow shop? im thinking they will be more expensive, but then again if i have any issues or questions about it i could just take it up there.
I got a yellow PH meter on ebay for like $10 and some 7.0 calibrating solution for $7. Also a PPM pen for like $6. All work although one did crap out on me. They are china cheap, but work.
