Newbie here. I started my first grow back in May with a Diesel Auto seed from RQS and some bag seed. Those seeds germinated with no problem.
A little over a week ago I began a new grow. Unfortunately, I had to leave town for a week for an emergency right after i germinated a few seeds and planted them. One seed sprouted fast. When I left it was already above soil and growing its true leaves. The other seeds were still sprouting through the soil when i left so i left the humidity dome on them and told my neighbor to remove the dome the day after I left. When i came back, the first seedling doing great, but the other seeds still had domes on (even though i told her to rake them off right after i left), had stopped growing and were basically dead. I assumed they died from lack of oxygen. I then tried to germinate more seeds and they all died immediately after opening above soil. Ive lost three seeds, all different strains, since coming back. The first seedling is growing well and is going into its third week. After research, the only problem I can think of is dampening off. Im assuming there was some fungi that grew because the domes were never removed, and because i reused the medium, maybe the new seeds were affected? Im sterilizing the coco with boiling water, but I dont wanna kill another seed so id rather get some advice
Im using pre washed coco coir mixed with perlite. 30/70
The medium is amended with Dr. Earth’s 444 Gold
The RH is low, and ranges from 25-35. This is from having several plants in my grow room. I do not use a humidifier except when I germinate seeds. I ditch the humidifier after i see true leaves. I live in Vegas with really hard water so using a humidifier leaves calcium everywhere.
i added a photo of the seedling to very well for reference. All of the seeds germinated and were planted in the same space.
thanks in advance for your help!
