The smell that seems to get me during a harvest/trim session is the smell of a vegging plant but 10x stronger which makes me assume it's nothing to do with the calyxs, its mostly cutting into fresh leaves that sets me off.again, just supposition on my part, but i'd guess that what you're having a reaction to is some of the more volatile substances in the plant, more than likely some of the terpenes that make them smell. i'd be interested if anyone has noticed that its lemony smelling weed that does this, or floral smelling...or w/e, wonder if its a particular substance that everyone reacts to or if there are different things that effect different people?
These plants are related to nettles. If you are sensitive it helps to take a Benadryl prior to trimming. The smell that seems to get me during a harvest/trim session is the smell of a vegging plant but 10x stronger which makes me assume it's nothing to do with the calyxs, its mostly cutting into fresh leaves that sets me off.
You guys ever have an odor left behind in your nose after trimming a fresh plant? That's the smell that fucks me up but only if im around it too long.
I posted here in 2017 that it only effects my nose but now i get pretty fucked up for some reason which is why i ended up back here, Napsalot said fresh weed is histaminic so that might make sense.
Interesting that you haven't been bitched at about the benadryl, yet a few mentions about that hamilton co. gets ya reported lolThese plants are related to nettles. If you are sensitive it helps to take a Benadryl prior to trimming.
Not sure why it's controversial but I'm just about to take a Benadryl right now and I won't start trimming until it kicks in. It's difficult for me without it, plus I've got a little bit of a head cold anyway so yeah its the only way to trim for me. I often have a reaction even if I'm just trying to see the trichomesThese plants are related to nettles. If you are sensitive it helps to take a Benadryl prior to trimming.
