Almost 12 weeks of flowering and no buds

This is our first grow so we are trying to figure out things as we go along. We started these couple bag seeds along with a few high grade seeds. We started in Fox Farms ocean forrest, stuck with the Fox farms nutes and the recommended schedule, also gave them voodoo juice in the 2nd week of flowering. The high grade grew well and we have already harvested (and smoked a bit!) It was great for our first grow. However, the bag seed plants are STILL flowering and they do not have any kind of formed buds. They do not have the "balls" indicating it is male. It looks like it starts to get hairs, but the hairs turn into a green leaf looking thing and there is still no defined bud. The leaves are pretty long and skinny and I have read that indicates a stronger sativa. I also read that sativas take longer to flower than indicas... However, when do you call it a lost cause?

is there any kind of light leaks going on making it not flower?/ if not, i'd give up on it ... even though sativa's are slower flowering, they should still all pretty much have pretty nice looking buds by week 12 of flower..

what is the light schedule like??

12/12 try dropping the 10 on and 14 off.

Bag seed from just brick weed is a crap shoot as the gentics are usually not the best at 12 weeks flower even the purest sativa would be finishing. You might have gotten a strain carrying a recessive hemp gene that is in thwe seeds so it will never bud just grow 30 feet tall.

Thanks, I guess its getting pulled tonight! No light leaks, its on a 12/12 schedule, we need that space to start another flowering cycle so I need it gone. I think you may be right FilthyFletch, it is very tall compared to the Jack 47 and Purple Haze that we grew with it. Thanks again!

It sounds like a lost cause to me if you have been flowering for as long as you say you have.

Did you end up tossing it?

i have had this problem with one seriously stressed plant, 12 weeks and next to nothing, but looked good at start of flowering.

Wow...that looks terrible, like 3 weeks of flowering perhaps...
Oh, well I guess these things happen.

I would definitely chock that up to some really bad genes!

Damn 12 weeks of flowering? Don't know and never heard of ANYTHING taking that long to bloom. I think at his point your just raising you electric bill for nothing.
