I'm on my first hydro grow ( dwc ), ( 4x 5 gal. buckets ) I had 3 successfull indoor earth grows. I also want to make one like I see that you use. I would like to know what size are the pots you used , and also how deep should I put my seedlings in the bubbler. I think I should of gone deeper. Thanks for your time.

It is sort of like a DWC but it has an additiaonal irragation system that pumps thru a tube "bubbles" of nutes, water and oxygen to the root base, 24/7.
It has 4 inch cups, which are big enough for a 5 ft tall plant. I put my cube in the center of the cup, and the roots are fed thru the tubes until they dangle in the water (two weeks) which is 3 inches below the bottom of the cups in a 3 inch air pocket. It is awesome for
FAST grows because of the way air and food and water are delivered to the roots.

I took the top 75% off of three plants. I'm drained.

Well, I did it!
I did the stretched plant first, I was so surprised, I took about 75% of the plant.

I had the one bud that grew buds, and about 6 more colas from the one plant. Let me remind you this is a plant that was born Jan 14th and deliberately stretched. Never again will I do a sea of green.

Roseman, you're killin me... (j/k) Why no Sea of Green? Weight alone? Or is quality affected?

There 's a fellow poster here named fdd2blk. He can sometimes be a little profound or arogant, but 99% of the time, he 's a heck of a nice dude. AND HE KNOWS HIS STUFF ABOUT GROWING. When it comes to being POT GROWING knowledgable, I hold him in high esteem. I listen to him, I've learned a lot from him.
One thing he preaches and taught me is pot was not meant to be grown in a small space, cramped in a tight space, forced to be short by starting flowering at two to 4 weeks, into a sea of green grow. STRETCHING IS NATURAL, NORMAL. Pot was meant to grow for 4 months and get just as tall as it wants to get, and then start flowering for AT LEAST 2 more months. Then it will produce potent bud and lots of them too.
SEA of GREEN is a system of growing short small plants in a small space. It works, I have done it twice, and with rejuvenation, I manged a come-back 2nd smaller crop, after the first initial harvest. I was happy, very happy.
BUT then i allowed a grow to GROW. Instead of ONE decent cola on top of a plant with 20 smaller popcorn buds, i got 9 long branches on one plant, all 14 to 20 inches long, 12 TO 20 GRAMS OF DRIED BUDS ON EACH LIMB, with a big bud on the end of each branch and 50 or 60 more buds all over.

i GOT THIS OFF OF ONE PLANT, PLUS TWO SHOE BOXES OF SMALL BUDS, AND I ONLY HARVESTED 3/4S OF THE PLANT. I LEFT THE POPCORN BUDS WITH WHITE STAMENS TO MATURE.

Sea of Green? Only if you have a very small space to grow in.

And that was all from one STRETCHED plant, I still have two plants untouched to go!

i HAVE NOT WEIGHED IT YET. I only harvested yesterday, (Saturday).

I had a 14 inch limb break off in March, I dropped a lamp on my plant. I dried it 4 days and then cured it 28 days, and I weighed only the buds and had 12 grams of dry buds.
Well, yesterday I got 22 limbs, some will yield only 4 grams, but some will go over half ounce. I am guessing a wild ass guess at 88 to 148 grams. I tried to calculate and came up with soemthing different everytime. The plant was 4 and half feet tall. AND I only harvested the top half and all the bigger buds at the ends of the branches.

and yesterday as I and my friend was trimming and mana-curing, I found a silver dollar sized round bud, crispy dry as hell, hung on a fork in a branch. It had to have fell a month ago, maybe when I cut the fallen broken bracnh off. I saw it as a gift from the ANGEL OF POT ! so I grabbed a paper and we smoked it !
PRAISE GOD ! My knees got weak and trimbly, and I got higher than I have in 2 or 3 years. I developed diabeties on the 4th toke ! it was crispy, but greasy too. AND Sweeter than that 15 year old girl that gave it up in the 9th grade!

hehe, got a 3ftx2.5x1.5 cabinet... sea of green (and lst'd sea of green at that) is my only option.

It's a stealth hydro grow, and bought mainly b/c of your posts Roseman. Oh well even if sea of green isn't the best it beats shitty southern dirt weed.

Charging my batteries right now and gonna start a thread later. I'm wondering if my height is normal, Ill pm you when i get it up.

I've done two sea of greens, and I was GLAD, Proud, and Satisfied with what I got. And in about 10 weeks too!
This grow was 18 weeks! And I had the time and space to do it.

How long would you predict the grow to be from clones in the set up you have here?
