Hey all,

So i've been away from RIU for a while but i've still been working on the old secret garden. About 2 weeks ago i harvested 2 blue skunk plants grow in soil for about 1oz dried. It was killer smoke toobongsmilie.
I also have 2 blue skunk x bag seed, plants that i started about the same time but these were grown in my Mcgyver bubblemaids using GH nutes.

They were all under the same lights so 12/12 on same date.

So, i'm starting to think that i may have cut the first two blues too early, though they are supposed to be 7 week flower, because the other two bitches a still budding like mad. I checked the trichs with a magnifying glass and they were clear, as i wanted them. But now 2 weeks later the other 2 still don't seem to be done, the buds are getting massive and still going.
I wanted to let theses one go as long as possible but seriously thought they would have stopped growing by now instead they seem to be going faster...

Anyway....what do you folks think...is she ready?

Oh and the seeds are x'd and you can see a big diff in the 2 plants it's pretty cool...

I'd personally let them go another week, give or take a couple of days, but that's just me :) I'd rather harvest a couple days later than a couple days early to make sure I'm getting the most THC out of the plant :)

I agree. Let the trics tell you when they are ready. Let them get cloudy and a little amber in color. I cut down my last crop about a week early and trust me that last week really packs on the potentcy. Lookin good tho. Just be patient and they will thank you for it

Hey all,

Quick update, i let the second one go for another week as suggested. Trichs looked amber but hard to tell with my magnifying glass. I ended up with almost 5oz, 3.3 from first one and just over 1oz from second. I really had to get them out of there anyways as my clones were starting to hit the roof, literally, they were in a box.

So I transplanted my clones from dirt into a net basket with hydroton and put them in the bubblemaids. This is the first time i try this, so far they aren't looking too happy. I think i should have trimmed the roots back a bit when I moved them but I can see some new roots coming out of the netbasket already. They have only been in there a couple of days so far, i'm still debating if i should lower the ppm on the nutrient solution...it's at 500ppm now i'm thinking 300 might be better until they get used to it.

Thanks for the input.

Cheers,

Hey hey,

Let's see as far as watts go there are 8 32w t8 tubes so 256w and i add 2 42w spirals clamp lamps for the last weeks. So around 340w for flowering.

Well the clones are starting to adapt to the hydo now. 2 out of five are look great i'm going to top them so they all end up the same height. 1 of them is nice and green with good root growth just getting into the water so should really start taking off soon. the last 2 are looking kinda sad still most of the leaves have died but the roots are almost down to the water and the tops are starting to look nice and green I expect they will start doing well in a couple of days.

I lowered my ppm to 325 or so...some signs of tip burn and this strain seems to be sensitive. Last time I had 4 seeds in hydro and they all turned out male, i'm pretty sure they were stressed due to high ppm. The one backup seed i had in soil is the mother of all my current clones.

I'll try and get some picks up soon, this is my first run at a perpetual grow so to speak. I'm super pumped about having female clones to start from this time, and a week or two after harvest i'm almost ready to switch to 12/12 again.

Gotta fly
