Almost time to top?

This is my first grow so I'm not sure on when I should Top/Lst or whatever makes it yeild more. As you can see in these pics its getting too big for my stealth computer desk grow so I'm moving it outside in 2 days. Any advice is welcome! Also, thats just a tiny piece of dirt on the plant in the pic, it's removed now .

The plant is a little over 3 weeks old.

If u wanna top it do it at the fifth node like uncle Ben says. U can get four main stems and large beefy buds. If u wanna LST it then let it grow and occasionally tie stems down to get many laterals going and plenty of thick beefy bud sites. Read up on both techniques then decide which you want to try.

Do you think you could top it the way it is now? Is there 5 nodes? Sorry, beginner at this

you could but i'd wait til the next set of leaves develop. also it's kinda hard to tell bc we'd need to see it from a sideview

Uncle Ben wrote to wait until the plant reaches 5 or 6 nodes to get a good root system - then top above the second true node for 4 main colas. GL
