Alternating nodes with NO internodes

I have a bagseed in veg right now that i topped using UB's 4 cola technique. The main leader has had alternating nodes for a couple weeks now, and so far wherever there is a node, 2-4 nodes will sprout from the same spot of the stem with no internode space. There is internode space between these clusters but at at the end of each internodes there is a cluster of at least 3-4 nodes. I was wondering if anyone else has ever witnessed this phenomena with any specific strains? I have no idea what strain it is so i have no idea what to compare it to, i was thinking it could maybe be blue dream because it is for sure a high yielding plant. If anyone could lend any knowledge as to if this is a strain specific trait or if people have witnessed this happen before with topped plants, that would be very appreciated :blsmoke:

Wow, that is crazy!!! You're going to wind up with a bush, LOL. You could take some of those extraneous branches as clones. I've used UB's topping method on over 100 plants and never seen anything like that. Thanks for the pix!

lol right?? I can't wait to flower this girl and see her yield! i've been trippin out the last couple of weeks because nodes have just been stacking on each other like that for about 6 inches so far. i'm stoked on this pheno, i'm definitely gonna try to clone a couple branches to keep the strain alive.

That's weird that you've never seen this, thank you very much for your feed back though pimp! Has anyone else seen anything like this before?
