alternating nodes

Hypothetically, can i switch to 12/12 before i have alternating internodes? At 6 weeks old (6 plants) they are 14inch some at 10inch. All have even nodes. Should i start flowering now? and if so should i leave them under the 400w MH bulb untill they show sex or bang in the 400w Son T Agro HPS at the start of 12/12? I am also using 3 x 18W Gro-lux Fluro tubes and 2 x Tornado 23w warm white cfl's for side/under lighting. Is this a good combo or overkill? Thanks fellow stoners ...

flower now with the hps and anything else you want to throw at your babies.
