what would be a good alternitive to a hps system for flowering, i currently have my flourectents going and my wife says no more spendin on the project. Any help would be appreciated

not really, i let them out while everyone here is gone about once a week to water them and give them a couple hours of natural light, but other then that i have to be very secretive about it

Sounds like this could be a problem. Check out some cfl grow journals, there are several of them posted. They will give you some ideas of alternatives that have been used.

Mr I Can Do That For Half
I have seen cfl grows but your gonna spend some money on those too at about wwhat 7 bucks a bulb on the cheap side and need what 5 or so of these.And you will loose about half the yeild without the hps
