Cool dark dry place is the best option. So you're doing that part right.
How are you harvesting your seeds? I let them dry on the plant and harvest when dry, like normal. Never had a problem.
The Purple MoRon seeds (that @sneakyfoot crossed) were six year old seeds before I popped them.
Here is a pic of his Purple MoRon that I grew about a year or so ago. It's a cross of purple Moraccan X Ron Burgundy hence the name.

Oh ok, put them in a container and keep them in cool, dark, dry place. I don't store them in envelopes, I keep mine in pill bottles in individual labeled bagies. Like the small ones that you'd get about a gram of coke in

Don't come on here trying to tell a seasoned grower like me some bullshit. I've been growing for over half my life chump. I put my 1st seed in the dirt at the young age of 15, I'm in my mid 30's now... So trust me I understand the value of good water, but it does not need to cost $300-$400
