am i close to harvest?

I know the 60% amber hairs but i still don't feel confident deciding when to harvest. Here are some pics - the best i could get. Some of the calyxs are bursting open as you can see in the pic. a lot of the fan leaves are getting brown and dying. How much longer do you think until i can leave the plant in the dark for a day or 2 then harvest?

should i cut the dead fan leaves off or wait until after i harvest?

i'm a little impatient to harvest because i made a lot of mistakes on my first grow and i want to start a new one. and i only have the 1 closet to work with.

FARRK! - are you collecting pollen?

Just so you know,,a good way to determine by eye is when the hairs are turning orange faster than the white ones are growing,. Thats when thc production has peeked and will only go down hill from then on. also those look hermie,,may just be my eyes. I need to get glasses. take it easy

if your calxys are bursting open, i would check for seeds, i thought my last 2 were just going nuts with production causing them to burst open, nope it was seeds. looks like you could have some mold issuse, i see some white powdery on the leaves. being impatient for harvests and or growing is how we make our biggest mistakes.

That white powder is pollen from the male flowers that have burst open - plant is a full blown hermie.

somethings wrong and it looks like hermi better luck next time, maybe you should rethink your grow setup - or it might be unlucky genetics

Shit, this was not what i expected at all! I'm glad I posted this, now i can cut it down and start over.

Yes I believe you are right, it looks like pollen not mold.

well it is just bag seed so the genetics are crap. I'm curious how my grow setup could have caused this? Is there something I did wrong or am I bound to get mutants and hermies with crappy genetics? I'm not sure if I feel comfortable ordering seeds online yet, I'm a little paranoid about getting caught.

I think i'm going to make a post explaining my grow setup and asking for suggestions before I start my next grow.

@bunnyface - cute bunny! i've heard about using bunny poo as a fertilizer, have you tried it? I have a bun myself so i'm seriously considering it.

will the pollen remain in the room? Do I need to scrub it with bleach or something?

yeah dude... it will be everywhere.. walls, ceiling.. floor.. i'm sure soap and water will work.

Scrub the shit outta the room before you start your next grow. Clean until you think it;s good, and then clean some more jsut to be safe.
