Am i doing it right?

Im a first time indoor grower. i started a few seeds out of boredem and three plants seemed to germinate in soil. I am now down to one plant due to space issues and cats eatting my other two plants. I don't know how long exactly that its been growing in the "veg" state but it seem like its been forever. i don't use any lights other then the sun coming in thru my bedroom window. i just went and bought a 24-8-16 fertilizer and transplanted it from a smaller pot to a bigger one. Im seeing the leaves on the bottom start to get yellow and brown tips as if they are too dry but i water as necessary and just fed it for the first time ever. i dunno how long it is suppose to take to grow indoors but i'd have to say ive been growing it for atleast 2 months. I will upload a pic. can someone tell me if my plant looks healthy or not. and is their anything i can do to speed up growth? also the stalk over the last week has become very active starting to grow new leaves and "nodes". the second pic is the very top of the plant. Is that more plant growing or is that the plant starting to flower?
any help would be greatly appreciated

will it grow bud without more light? i am limited to my budget so i cant go out and spend $ on a light. as of right now its gettin light from about approx 7am till bout 7 or 8pm. it is gettin direct light from about 12pm until about 6pm.

is their any "cheap" lights other then hps or mh?

your plant is way too stretchy and have some problems, let me tell u what i think!

- LIGHT (Add some CFLs if you wanna yield some thing)
- OverWatering, you plant dont need as much water as u think! Oxygen also is needed in root zone!
- Nute burn (How often do you fertilize?)
- pH problems (very visible on top and it might cause lock-outs) u need a pH meter.
- Calcium deficiency u need some supplement.

Finally i think i see some pistils there (pic not clear) if so congrats u have a lady and u should take more pics for us to tell, also it means ur plant is into pre-flowering and u should change ur 24-8-16 to a fertilizer with higher P-K! do as many moves as u can now if you wanna yield some thing out of it!! and dont forget to ask questions if you wanna success your first grow!

So CFL bulbs will work? i only water when i feel that that top inch or so is drying out. I just started using Vigoro water soluble all purpose plant food. Like i said i am on a very limited budget. I was totally ignorant to my plants needs until i seen that comercial on tv bout the lady who kills her plants cuz she never fed them. I have had a successful outdoor grow but that was over 10 years ago and was in a totally different environment then i am in now.

yes CFL will work!

OK. i have a 20w CFL bulb above it now. Im thinking i might go and get a bigger wattage bulb. that just don't look like enough light to me. How big should i go for just the one plant i have? i just measure it and she is 23" tall from soil to the top

plus i have that tall mirror shining as much light back on it as i can

and i just fed it for the first time 2 days ago when i transplanted it to the bigger pot. Im not expecting to get 20 lbs from this plant but i just wanna learn from this first time indoor grow so i know better for the next one.

Do lots of reading and save a few bucks to put a system together. You won't get much of anything without alot more light. I tried the same on my first grow and yielded about an eighth. Not worth the weed but towards the end I started reading up, saw how fucked up I was, and corrected. You can check out my journal to see what I am doing, on grow 3 now so not an expert.

Unfortunately, it isn't as easy as we'd like it to be. But with an energy to learn, trials and tribulations it is doable.

Mirrors actually don't increase the light. You would be better with plain white paper. www.growweedeasy.com read it
