Am I doing LST right?

Hey all, im growing a kandy kush x cheesequake, its on day 39 from popping out of the soil, transplanted about 4 days ago into the pot you can see in the pic. At the mo, have it growing in a pc grow case, and Ive reached the limit of how much I can raise the lights, and the leaves started to burn, so needed to lst, as havent set grow wardrobe yet.
To LST, I put string round the top of the stem, not too tight, and pulled it down, attaching the string with tape to the pot, to tie it down
Judging by the pic, have I did it right, will it not damage it? Should I pull more stems down? Also, am I able to switch to flowering now, or should I veg for a bit longer, say another week or so?

yo m8, what light have you got this under? yes you have done it rite with the lst , just keep doing it ,makeing sure not to choke the plant or snap it , a tray filled with soil might of gave you more hight to play with lights insted of them high round pots , peace

oh ye i c them energy saver things ok , i was thinking they was small for there age have you got the other coulors for when it switchs

hey, thanks for the reply Im using 4 6500k bulbs at the mo, cant seem to fit more in, because of the size constraints of the pc case lol. Im using a total of 110w. Im wanting to switch to flower soon, do you reckon I could do that soon, or should I wait for more growth?
Also, prob a bit of a daft question, but never LST'd before, so when I do flower, obviously, itl grow at least double the size of what it is now, can you LST like in a circle? In other words, maximise the space in the pot, otherwise, if its just in a straight horizontal line, il soon grow out of space, if you get what I mean

yeah, Ive got loads of 2700k bulbs, and a couple of 4200, if they help at all? Can only use 4 light connectors though, as they are clamp lights, and 4, 2 either side, take up both the sides of my case, and if I put it the nearest to me, the lights bend upwards, and sort of melt the mylar, so its best to only use 4, which is another reason I LST'd. Im not looking for mega grow, only to have something to smoke at the end, so I can say Ive actually grown weed

you can LST as hard or soft as you want.
Thinking as long as you dont break or choke anything the plant will be fine.
shit...even if you do, long as you put it back in place it'll heal itself.
I would wait to see the little white pistils showing up before you flower if you can wait. I forget what they call it, preflowerss? i'm stoned lol

You can flip anytime you want, I even continued LST'ing after the flip, due to height restrictions, and I'm real happy with how she is turning out.
I am doing a 2x2 grow area, and vegged with almost 100w, but added another 200 last week.
First pic is of how I had it before any training, but when I went to the 5 gal. pot, I drilled holes around the top for string, and you can see how it has progressed.

wow that looks sweet! think il def keep with lsting, even when i switch to flower, for space restraints. Thanks for the advice, im going to switch to flowering within the next couple days, to keep height down as much as possible
Im sure I see a little white pistil, very tiny, near a top node, could be mistaken, but looks like it. Hell, if i switch, then find its not a female, at least ive had a good experience, and will just start again, try for a girl lol.
