Whats up Laney? Nice i think that is right where i am at. There are little clusters of pistils forming right out of the growth tips, she is certainly getting busy right now haha shes stretching a bit too, its a beautiful process it trips me outEarly flowering. Once you start popping pistils (not just the preflowers), you are officially in full flower. Before that you will see your plant start to get "busy" right before she busts out

Already got the bloom nutes purchased and ready to go. Been getting nothing but molasses and water for about a week now. Cant wait to start the bloom nutes, hoping it gives my buds a boost! and yup longer veg = bigger plants but i was anxious to start flower already so im happy haha indica or sativa? sativas start later no?yup! start da bloom nutes

As far as transitioning to flower nutes, just take it easy the first couple feedings. What are you gonna use for bloom nutes? There is a thread on here about when to start bloom nutes, some of the info is good. I use fox farm happy frog fruit and flower organic dry mix. It has enough N to keep'em green and enough P and K for budding.

my sativa doms are looking like your pic#4. It kinda sucks. I think plants take longer to flower outdoors (need really short days) if they're bred indoors under 12/12 for enough generations. Obviously genetics is going to play a role, too...
Some of my others are at least 2 weeks ahead.
If you're not in pots, you might want to think in advance about setting up a canopy over your plants in a couple of months to protect em from the rain.

Me and you are gonna get along real well man haha ive been counting the days til kickoff since the last Superbowl ended! Lol thanks for the tips, im using Fox Farm Tiger Bloom and Big Bloom liquids. The Grow Big worked well so i have high hopes. Im in pots so its easier for me

And whether my girls are in preflower or flower (which i think it is too) it really doesn't matter to me. Im just enjoying the ride baby, watching them grow and taking care of them is really a beautiful thing. They could take 12 weeks to flower (hopefully not tho) and ill still be happy. The one thing growing has taught this hectic businessman is patience! I love it...happy smoking!

I think it's important to know. I marked down the date that each plant began fully flowering this year (defined by more than 10 pistils protruding from the top bud). That will help me gauge ripeness. I am not going to go by the date of course but it will help ground or validate my estimation.

Yup, i agree i want to do the same. Someone hounded me here once for wanting to count the weeks of flower but i was gonna use it to gauge ripeness too. Nirvana Seedbank says 8 for my Master Kush. What i meant by it not mattering is that im not rushing it, being patient and letting em do their thang haha
And 10 pistils on growth tips = flowering. Got it, thanks i am right about there. Got at least 8-10 on most of em. so i guess im right on the brink. Been wondering that too. (i know what im looking for now) most of the preflowers at the nodes are turning reddish brown. Is that normal?

That's my own operational definition of "full flowering" after I failed to find a definitive one on the web. It's a continuum of development, as you know. That just seemed like a good spot. My plants have been in what I consider "early flowering" (the uptick in business plus stretch) since around July 10th. They preflowered and I pulled three males back in June. I usually finish by Halloween but some of these may finish by early or mid-October this year as about three-quarters are in full flower already.
Pistils turning reddish brown can be due to excessive heat, lack of water or genetics. I also found out this year that budworm infestation causes the pistils to turn red, but that's usually in later flowering.

Well i like ur definition. Hope i dont get budworm later in flowering. I would probably cry lol and i know its not budworm now bc i inspect my plants daily and there are no big buds for them to hide. They would have to bebeating leafy growth.
It has been 90+ degrees recently and ive let em wilt (accidentally) a couple times already since preflower so makes sense, thanks Laney
