Am I going to regret growing perpetually?

Hey man! That's what I was planning but vegging 4 plants in a 2x2 sounds impossible. It will be a jungle I think.

If you like growing I think you'll find that only maintaining a single tent doesn't occupy enough of your time. I know I felt like I wanted to do more than I helpfully could with just one generation.

I have 6 plants and a pepper plant in my 2.5x2.5 right now, plenty of room for 4.

yes but I have 4 "spaces"
germination station
veg space 2x2 tent
flower room part 1
flower room part 2(currently under construction)

I found it hard to fill a 4x8 with a 2x2 as the veg space so I just use it to get them as big as possible then veg abit longer under HID, then flip to flower , while flowering i veg the new batch

Perpetual is a pain in the ass. Every plant in a different phase of growth, different heights, different nute requirements, etc. HEADACHE!!!

My schedule is watering twice a day. Water when I wake up. The light comes at 7am. After watering, making more fert solution.

Rinse and repeat for about five months. Meaning I can't sleep late or go to bed early. Oh No. 10 quarts to 5 gal coco. Every single day, twice.

Yeah I imagined so. That's one of the downsides. Like I said earlier, despite not being a heavy smoker, i love trying out new strains but perpetual contradicts that because it's wise to grow similar strains and mostly indicas for a faster harvest, and you have to keep cloning these plants as well so the genetics are the same :(

With a 4 plant limit I would not even contemplate a perpetual grow but everyone's needs are different. Just thought I would say good luck with your venture, hope it works out well for you.

IMO, even growing 4 different strains at once in the same cycle is a pain, but that's partially because I grow hydro. With supersoil it is a bit easier, since you're mainly only giving water.

I feel you. Funny thing is that my plan was to also grow perp using coco. I've been growing in soil but I've been impressed by coco growers and have read EVERYTHING in cocoforcannabis website TWICE. Have you thought of a using a drip system?

Ran SOG for a couple years. Total burn out by end. Basically automated. Still all the cleaning, testing, mixing and yes trimming. And without a demand your inventory will rapidly out grow your space. You must also consider dry time, space and rotation. A 3'x6' closet every 4-6 weeks adds up.

My advice would be simplify to basics with minimal non essential work. Honestly consider space allowed and realistic expectations. You'll shoot yourself in the foot if not.

Honest best wishes and my sympathy in advance. Fun can become work in hurry here.

Clearly, it's way past time for you to set up an auto water system. 5 gal coco? You must be growing trees.

Yeah I have evolved slowly into my own style of perpetual and use sub irrigated planters which take a lot of the manual day to day work out of the equation also no moving parts to worry about. As far as volume i have a few friends and family that I help out.

With sog in a 4x4 i would do 9 plants in 2 gals with a trellis net, 1-2 week veg.. Currently i'm limited to 6 plants so I do 3 big ones in 3 gallons and veg them for ~4 weeks.
