AM I In the clear?!?!

I was checkin out the ladies today and I noticed they all sprouted pistils (calyx), I freaked, I have them on 18/6. They were supposed to be mothers... strains are White Widow, White Rhino, and A.M.S.. All bought from Greenhouse seed co. only thing I can think of is the fact that I WAS using a MH but switched to floro tubes. and with that switch I went from 24/7 to 18/6. I thought the light was to much for the seedlings and switched...

ya i would say the light switch could of did that.. why did you switch lights and why not go back.. they will be ok. you can still make them your mothers.. good luck

How old are the plants? Most strains will put out preflowers once they reach sexual maturity, before they ever flower.

take some clones and leave them under 18/6 to veg. put your mothers in flower.

Exactly. You got nothing to worry about it's a sign of sexual maturity, like pubes. Even if you trim them they grow back.

first off, slightly stoopid is the shit (the band, just saw them in chicago last month) so +rep for that because it encouraged me to play some music haha.... your plants just sexed, congrats! All it means is that they are technically matured now... completely normal. Usually happens after about 6-8 weeks of veg.

Your a dumbass haha I was worried because I thought I may have thrown it into flowering. which is not good for mother plants. I dont understand the negative comments you felt like you had to share but next time you feel like saying anything remotely negative toward me. I would like you to stand away from the computer and literally FUCK YOUR OWN FACE!

Thank you VERY much for not being a fag like most people seem to be haha and yes, Slightly Stoopid is an amazing band. (fav. song is world goes round, or no cocaine) anyways, thank you for the info, I guess I just never paid attention the last times I grew haha

it can take a while for them to sex while they are just in veg, my guess is they did it because you shortened their days and they are preparing themselves to flower. A lot of people don't veg long enough for their plants to mature before they flower them. World goes round is a tight song. My favorites are 2AM, Everything you need, and Running with a gun.. And for your listening pleasure!
