Am I just stupid?

I consider myself very bright and can figure out most anything, but for the life of me I suck at growing weed lol!

These are about 5 weeks in to flower. Temps go from 66-84. Im using a 180w (100w actual) vipar led. Using 1/4 tsp per gallon Dyna Gro Bloom every other feeding. Pot is 3 gallons and is a 50/50 mixture of soil and perlite. PH of water is 6.3 and runoff is around 6.0. Can anyone pin point the issue?

Most of the larger leaves have wilted and fallen off. From what I read it seems to be a lack of nutrients but every time I up the strength the leaves get burnt. Any suggestions?

Don't feel bad, there is a touch of subtlety to growing good stuff that comes with experience. Pretty much anytime you have leaves clawing downward at the tips, that is your plant warning you that she is overfed. Adding more nutes just begins a lockout process. If you google for 'nutrient antagonism charts' you'll see the relationships of what overfeeding one element does to others. I would just go water only from here on out and then enjoy your first homegrown!

Too hard on yourself.....yes, overfed...possibly overwatered.....but you have buds....many have not made it that far....assess your regimen, tweek it, improve your next grow.

yes to much food. weed eats about half of what new growers think they do. we have all been there. learn from each grow. its a hobby. learn to love learning about growing. fin out what others are doing. copy them and see if you like it. the forums are full of grow journals and step by step how to grows.

thanks guys, i thought overfed but the yellow leaves was throwing me off. I just watered today with nutes so Ill just flush it out and let be for a few days.

I think next grow I going hempy. I hate trying to figure out the soil's effect on ph, nutrients, etc.

So next the most important question. How much will I get lol. Just kidding. I love when people ask and people start saying 10 pounds, 2 tons, and other crazy shit.

The yellowing leaves are the result of too much P in flower.
Dyna is great, BUT,,,,,you didn't NEED to use the bloom that gave you the high P. I'll bet you used the GROW for veg. ? Dyna-Gro GROW is actually the thing to run start to finish.

The purple being expressed in you plants are from the temp swings (low at night) and high K of the bloom feed. This is NOT a problem.

good advice, nitrogen is totally NEEDED during all phases, less during flowering but still needed.
I think hydro companies just like to sell you two bottles, instead of one, hell if they had their way, they'd sell you probably seven different bottles to use.....
week one bottle
week two bottle, three, etc, etc,
finishing bottle
sweetening bottle
flushing bottle
it really must be great for the hydro companies, sleeping on their beds made of cash

And don't feel bad, intelligent people probably have worse beginner problems than most, because of overanalyzing, and trying to do too much, this is a game where keeping it simple REALLY is the best approach.
For me organics is the easiest and most user-friendly, also the most forgiving. May want to check out that section a lil, after establishing a good soil base, it's super easy from there.
Don't be hard on yourself though, if you don't have a history with growing plants it's a lil challenging at first.
Just like if you were a first time parent, pet owner, driver, etc. You'll get the hang of it.
Honestly couldn't hurt to get some houseplants, and some REGULAR horticulture books, not just cannabis books/sites.
The more the merrier, it's all experience.

its easy in this hobby to get to excited. we try to prefect our grows. we examine the cutting edge on growing environments in reality weed will grow if you toss some seeds out your window. its a really easy plant to grow. i spent a year growing tomatoes just to learn how to grow. weed is much easier on food. ive always used half of what the hydro companies say. they are heavy on their calcs. feeding gets easier with time. think less is more. its easy to add more,

soil is even harder if you overfeed. hydro is quick in telling you theirs a problem.

do your best but you will never get as much weed as you think you should get. just make the weed you get as awesome as you can. any quality smoke that is cured right is a pleasure. its a kick ass feeling to break out some good weed and know you grew it. will change your life. you will never look at weed the same.

N is important in flower too.. also looks like it could be overwatered. let them dry out a bit between waterings and don't stop feeding N in bloom, they need it

@Dr.Who thank you, I will switch back. I just flushed so I will feed a like 1/8tsp per gallon next watering. I never thought about the high P for the yellow leaves. I automatically think overwater/ lack of N.

@greasemonkeymann Ill definitely check them out. Who thought growing a weed would be so stressful.

@justparanoid Ive learned so much this first round that the second time around should be so much easier. Definitely too much thinking involved this time around.

Heres an update from today which is like 12days later so we are in week 7 of flower.

What do you guys think? Ive only used water, no nutrients. Should I just keep going no nutrients since I would have to flush soon anyway? Trichs are all clear so I have a few more weeks to go.

Crap medium causing salt build up in turn the yellowing. When too much builds up the plant cant take up N. Also in these soil mediums the ph is usually out and stays that way all the way thru. Use good coco or hydro mediums so you control what happens in the medium.
