am I ready to switch to 12/12

first hydro grow, had some crazy issue but with lots of help from riu Im hopeing
im ready to switch. I have a tent so theres a hight issue but im just not sure how
tall these girls will get, I know in soil the three strain average the same stretch

some say wait till you see preflowers,but if you wanna switch now go ahead.they're looking good.

flip em... they will about double if not triple in size... looks good how many lights/watts you running/

Well that depends. The plant is ready, but are you?

What I mean is, do you know the genetics and how tall it will get? How tall do you want it to be when it is done and the amount of "stretch" during bloom usually dictates when my plants go into 12/12.

they will possibly double in size by the end of flowering, they look very good btw, if it was me i would start flowering

x4 600 in vented shields 6in. all the way three strains dump truck, purple kush, and a local strain in a 10x10 hydro hut tent,

well in soil all three will go 16 to 20 in the first 2 weeks but hydro I got no clue this has been a major learning curve for me

Fire it off anytime then. You do not want them to get too tall, have to bend them and all that crap.

I say, "Go for it!"

They don't look big enough to fill in the canopy to me.

You have 2400 watts and should end up with over 5 pounds if you can manage to grow them right.

cuz theres 30 in a 10x10 space you think it
wont fill that hole area?

You know the strains so how did they compare vegging soil vs hydro? Any big difference? Growth rates may be faster in hydro but a plants genetics ultimately decides height....

Well only you know your genetics and system. Will they double or triple ?

If they will triple they might be big enough. But if they only double... you might wanna top and let the plants veg a week more to recover from the topping then flip them.

If you cant fill in the canopy, your just spinning wheels. on the electric meter lol.

the larger ones ive already toped, but I do know what they will do in soil but seeing that is my first hydro run is where my
concern was, but il let them go longer and see. I do want to get the most out of them.

flushing today and flipping the light cyle woot

I Waited too long vegging and Woa it's a task tying them down looking for more space so all the buds get some light. I thought I had too few plants for too small a space under my 1000w hps, Hah! Yea right they blew up like crazy. I would bet I coulda grown just 2 plants in my area and they woulda filled it up, but I got 4 going right now, 2 are short nice and fat, and 1 is tall and has an insane cola growing, the last one We kindly call "Big Momma" she's HUGE, never topped or anything. and she has I swear 5 colas. Her main stem cola is a joke, but the several branches off from the bottom (5 of them) have what I consider huge colas (5" tall each so far).

So Please learn from my mistakes, 2 of my girls have grown 3x their vegged size, and 2 doubled in size. Worse case veg smaller it will bloom and grow like everyone has said anywhere from 2-3x it's size.

I think I might go get some tomato cages if they do get that huge that should help

its like a car you would want to test drive it before buying it right?? well consider this your test drive flip the lights if they dont get as big as you want then next time veg another week blah blah so on so on till you get it perfect then you will never have to worry you will just know. tell you one thing i vegged to long and it was a bitch figuring out ways to tie them down i actually ended up cutting down a entire crop of 11 from it but now i know. my lights where all the way up to the roof lol
