Amber on 7th week

Hey guys, I’m growing Amnesia Haze.
As I read, it takes longer for sativa to grow.

Plant is currently in 7th week flowering, buds are small and hairs are still white. New ones poppin on the top.

But when I look at trichomes thru my jewelers loop, I see there are a few turning amber.

Is it normal for top colas to have a few ambers while it’s still growing?

Trichomes on leaves don’t count?
So far, the trichomes on the buds are still fresh clear.

Leaves don't count, your pictures show you have a few weeks to go. Looking good though!

Put your loupe away until week 10 minimum. You're just clearly confusing yourself and potentially causing trouble.

The current trichomes that you see as amber are from physical damage, you can see the bulbous heads missing. Caused by touching the bud or even from leaves rubbing up on them. Damaged trichomes will turn amber despite the plant not being ready.

The plant's obviously not done so no need to even be looking at the trichomes. Many people see amber and harvest way too early. Many of us that have been growing for years don't even look at the trichomes.
