Your buds just need more time. They're done when they're done, you can't trust any breeder timeframes, they're totally worthless for most polyhybrids. If you focus purely on trichomes, you'll most likely harvest too early, but you are 100% right to wait for amber trichomes to develop-they are one of the signs of ripeness to look for. Here is a post with other signs of ripeness to look for: https://forum.grasscity.com/threads/a-guide-on-when-to-harvest.666373/. Give your plant a couple more weeks and reevaluate it. You're getting close, but you don't want to miss out on the final weight gain and increase in terps that come with ripeness.

I’ll echo what the others have said….your buds aren’t finished or ripe. Let those pistils finish out and after the buds are ripe you’ll start to see some ambers. And not on the leaves, look inside the bud formation at the calyces. That’s where u want the trichs to be populated with some ambers.
i have a plant that’s very similar to yours and it’s had mostly cloudy trichs for almost 3 weeks. It finally just stopped throwing off new white pistils and almost on cue I started seeing a few ambers. It’ll probably take another week and I’ll have a good 20-30% amber, which is what I’m targeting. But for heaven’s sake, let those pistils turn and recede….your buds still have some fattening up in them.
