GREAT Documentary and I have seen a lot of them. Talks about the CIA importing cocaine to fund the Contras in Nicaragra and how those involved were all senior W. Bush officials. Talks about WHY cannabis is illegal as it helps sustain the drug war / money (there is not enough consumption of hard drugs to justify the cost of the drug war).

It is on Showtime if you have that, Netflix, if you want cleaner video than the link below.

Here is a good preview.

ive seen this about 10 times so far and still watch it... its an AMAZING documentary... great information..

also... there's one called "A.K.A Tommy Chong"...

its about how they fucked tommy, made him a poster boy for fucking over stoners, and a bunch of other shit.. i tried to find a link to it.. but couldnt find one.. i did find out tho that the government actually had confiscated the documentary when it first came out.. worth the watch tho!

AKA is great too. I actually got teary eyed watching our government screw him over. I did like in the end when he was saying that he was never a activist just a smoker; but prison time and meeting others that got screwed like him made him an activist. I can't believe they confiscated it - just illustrates further what a complete fucking joke the war on drugs is.

From what I remember I saw it on Showtime too. Between Weeds, AKA, and American Drug War they seem to be a very pot friendly channel.

Kind of surprised there is not more interest in this post. Everyone wets their bed over the Union and this movie really hits a lot harder.

yea, showtime seems very pot friendly..

AKA was a great doc... i do like how he said that too.. about him basically being forced into the roll as activist... i think we all start that way.. just as smokers.. but a good majority of us move us to become activists.. maybe not as main stream as tommy.. but in our own way...
