amount of water for 2 gall pot

I was trying to figure out the proper amount of water for a two gallon pot. I normally water every four days and i water until i see it drain out the bottom but is there a formula that corresponds to the amount of soil.

I usually water mine a quart per gallon of soil...2 quarts for 2 gallons and so on...

All plants will not absorb equal amounts of water. It is best to just use the weightness of the pot to determine feedings. You can just lift the pot when its full of water to see how heavy when full. and wait to fill when its lighter. you will know the difference. 4 days seem long time unless your using bigger pots then what is really needed for your plant. As most of mine are watered every other day or as needed.

I am growin in coco coir and my girls get about 14 ounces each watering. They are in 2 gallon grow bags. I only gave them 8 ounces while in veg. I know it sounds like its not enough but they are pretty nice
