Amy Winehouse

Of all the talent lost too young this decade... I think Amy Winehouse was the most unfortunate.

She would have been a badass old raspy singer. Gritty would have become her style, for sure.

More duo (singer, accompaniment) would have been fucking excellent.

Also, more work with some of the best funk/fusion acts/horn sections... Tower of Power, Galactic, Madeski Martin & Wood.... fucking JOHN SCOFIELD and Winehouse. Ugh. Damn.

My only awareness of her was during her heroin binge, by then she was a tatted up, shriveled up, living corpse. She looked like death warmed over, and slurred her songs during a live performance I saw (SNL?). Impossible to imagine what she looked like before her addiction

Maybe 4-5 years ago I was watching a Fender Stratocastor special (it runs periodically) and saw this hot chick with an amazing voice. I knew she looked familiar. Nice curvy body, sexy face, hot lips, looked classy

Sometime after her death I saw Tony Bennett's last Duet DVD, which includes a conversation about her. Tony was stunned, saying she looked healthy and happy. IMHO, his song with her is the best of all the other females, and most of the men

I have read that she was another Music Industry sacrifice, apparently to appease their sick satanic gods
