There's a guy on the train that is a human magnet.
Even with glass plates. (which is strange...)

And his kids are magnets too :D

One of the few shows that has me truly laughing out loud. The thing is British people broad are either getting piss drunk and arrested/hospitalized... Or are cynical bastards like this guy.

It is indeed very, very funny...

Is that what cynical is?

I thought it was like...more evil. Like you hate the world. Or think it sucks.

He just wants to be on vacation,
and is just uncultured, I feel like. Like an American would be, trying to go on vacation.

Like that idea doesn't exist in to many cultures "vacation". But that's what he expects

Cynical in the sense he finds the dark side of/something to complain about in everything. He thinks everything is crap... And when he likes something it's just like 'that's alright, that.... I suppose...' lol

Yeah I see what you mean, too. The states has just about every culture and climate in the main landmass alone. I'm not surprised a lot of Americans never go abroad or find themselves saying shit like 'that's a cool tower I guess. Looks like a radio tower... I just thought it'd have some baguettes on there or something... That's European, right?!' British people live on a shitty rainy island and has stamped out most of its own interesting culture through the union of the isles, so we rob and pillage mainland Europe, stealing their women and drinking even more absurd amounts of alcohol than usual whilst acquiring carcinogenic and legendary degrees of sunburn.

Karl is AWESOME! Too bad they can't get him to do a third season.
A third season would be great, they could have Karl traveling across America in an RV.... ROAD TRIP!
There is plenty of bizarre areas in this country for Karl to entertain us!

I guess there's Stephen Fry in America. It makes me cringe... I love Stephen Fry, but he's a hilarious caricature of 'British'. No one acts/talks like him these days. I guess that's why we like him for being so RIDICULOUSLY 'English'. Driving around the states in a black taxi cab... I don't think I've ever been in one of them.

Stephen Fry? I'm gonna have to check him out. Is he a Karl or different kinda of humor?
I like Karl because I don't think he is trying to be funny...Karl is just Karl.

Stephen Fry is a funny 'English Gent' that tends to lend himself to presenting and voice acting these days. He is funny, but incredibly academic. You should watch QI, his quiz show, that often gets hilariously random and off-track.

I think it's on tonight where I am. Is Bucket List a series or a special? Hoping it's not a rerun

If they wanted me to, or if it was hot as shit there, HELL YEAH I'd dress local :D

This made me laugh, Karl is the complete polar opposite of Stephen Fry. One's an idiot abroad, the others an intellectual abroad.

You have to listen to some of Ricky's podcasts though to get the full measure of Karl.

I'll have to check that one out. I love British TV show, much more highbrow humor than American shows. Doc Martin is my fav. I watch Poor Decisions of Todd Margaret, just because of how terrible of a train wreck it is.
