Dude your pics are ok but just the tops of my plants are bigger than your whole harvest it seems and mine were under a 250 watt MH bulb. But like I said, it's not the system...it's the grower. I'm sure you'll find some sucker to pay you money to spent a few minutes putting together a toy though.

Wow you needed big words to make an assumption? I've been a member at dozens of pot sites, those are my plants. You can google "Japanfreak" and find dozens of my pics at many pot sites.

And what kind of person makes a new handle to troll somebody? Are you really that worried about getting banned? You wouldn't be that guy who started a thread about me here that was closed would you be? lol. Get over it.

I used to flush for years because everybody told me to. Used to do a 2 week flush with tap water. Then after years of doing it that way I got lazy and stopped and to tell the truth I couldn't really tell the difference. There are smart people on either side of the flushing debate who can sound very very convincing. I say try it both ways and find out which you prefer.

Please continue to give advice and ignore the haters. After people get a few good crops under their belt they'll swear they know everything, and shoot down any other experienced advice. People should walk into everything with an open mind, besides a fist fight.

And Happy New Years. May all failed crops be forgot, and say hello to new fatty yields.

Its great you wote this up when you did and +rep to you for it! I have all my supplies coming in to make a few four plant, 14 gal DWC buckets. I'm really excited as this is my first attempt at any kind of hydro.

The only thing I feel like I'm having a hard time with is.... Do you ALWAYS have nutes in the water? In soil you feed clean water inbetween fertilizings.
And, how do you decied when to up the amount of nutes, and how should it be measured? EC or PPM? I've noticed a lot of confusion when using PPM's due to the different conversion formulas. (.5, .7,... w/e the other one is)

Yeah in most hydro you always have nutes in the water but some people like to give them water in the last week so that the plants use up their reserve food and energy in their leafs. You'll often hear people call it a flush but it's really a flush, it's just not feeding them food.

A lot of people are confused about E.C. and PPM and the conversations but it really shouldn't matter because you shouldn't be comparing your numbers with anybody anyway, those numbers are just for you and your garden. Most nutes have a recommended feeding for the different stages of life, unless you have a different recipe just mix according to directions but at say 50% strength and each feeding increase a little at a time till you find the upper limit that your plants can take. Rarely is that number going to be stronger than the directions on the bottle.

its called schults plant food plus.......if it would even work or wha.... im new to dwc :)

I have my system ready to rock n roll, i just dont have nutes

Sorry I don't know anything about that product. The balance doesn't look bad but unless it's made for hydro I wouldn't try it. There are different minerals that can be used to supply the same needs for plants but some work better in soil and some better in hydro.

The 100% add-back point is when you've added back as much water as you started with. So if you're rez is 100 liters and every day you're adding back 10 liters you'll reach that point in 10 days.

By dumping and remixing your rez at the 100% addback point you can avoid a lot of problems although people who know their systems and use the same tank their entire grow although I wouldn't recommend it to beginners.

I just finished my room and vegged two possible mothers in dirt.
Just took my first clones and while im waiting i got
4 rooted clones yesterday.
I officially started my DWC yesterday!

Im glad this forum has folks with as much experience as yourself with DWC, Im sure in the near future ill have some questions for u.
