An odd question regarding security

So. I recently harvested. And got a new roommate. Now I don't have any proof that the guy is stealing from me, I just have a strong belief that he is. Our glycerine tube for the bong is always out of the fridge in the morning, but he doesn't have money to buy weed. He makes bizarre comments about how he's not going into my boyfriend and my room...which don't seem necessary if he wasn't in here or worried about us thinking he is.

We just harvested a bit over a pound, and I'm not going to sit and reweigh it all the time to see if it's changing, or start a house war over a quarter ounce or whatever that might be partially attributed to drying, overweighing sacs or whatever...

But I just wanted to see what everybody else does with their finished product to keep it safe from prying eyes or sticky hands.

Im thinking about getting a small safe or hiding it somewhere a bit better, but I honestly think my main problem is having doubts about someone living under my roof.

Any comments or suggestions welcome

if you have those doubt then you need to talk to your BF quitly, if your BF says he doesnt want to hear it, its probably becuase he doesnt care. not to say that he doesnt care that he is taking money out of your pockets, but because he is.... well lets call it generous, but if your BF is aware, it will become a problem when decides it has become one. i imagine the new roommate is a close friend to your bf?

ive been in a similar situation with my "brother" living with me, he would not steal weed but he might smoke some, i didnt mind, my girlfriend did. i told her to drop it, my brother is too good of a friend and loyal to me to betray me and di not overstay his welcome, or smoke more than what i felt was acceptable. he is now moved out and doing fairly well, holding a job at least.

1. leave a cam in the room to monitor. If you have an iphone you can set it up to receive transmission from your pc cam via the web so you can also monitor from anywhere, there are plenty of apps for that in the app store (some are free). or you can set up your phone with a "stop animation" app that takes pics every few seconds (you should be able to set whatever intervals you want)

2. locking it in a safe or the door, like others said, sounds like good advice too...

Install a deadbolt on the door. That's the first thing I would have done with that much pot in there.

Why is everyone suggesting a lock on the door? That is so obvious. The OP would have certainly have tried that first before asking for ideas.

Part of every crop is expendable like Rambo. It's a tax I don't mind paying. Lock up ur stash and leave a little community around. I don't care about people taking what I give I despise being robbed. It's also a load of shit sitting in a house full of weed and being the broke guy.

+1 on that.

Leave a little out, like an 1/8 or so. If you tell him he can have some when he wants it , then he wont have a reason to steal it. Honestly though, it doesnt matter who the f this guy is. If hes stealing your shit call him out on it. I hate thieves with a passion. You worked hard to grow your stuff, not to have it stolen. Put up a cctv camera in your room with a dvr. You can get them at any big box hardware store (lowes,home depot, etc.) for about $200 or less for a camera and dvr combo. If you dont have the cash to drop then Lock that door up, and make it obvious that you are locking it to let the roommate know. Think of it this way, if you had to buy your weed at $10 a gram, then that pound is worth over $4000 to you. So everytime he steals a couple grams, its like taking a twenty dollar bill out of your wallet. Talk to your bf and tell him that you want to take action about this weather he likes it or not. Just my 2 cents......

Keep it hidden on a closet shelf very high up , with a few rat traps setup around it . Wrap the stash in a blanket with another trap setup inside . You will know with no questions asked .. The stash will appear to be raided and somebody will have some hurt hands lol

confront your roommate, explain how even though its only pot its still an invasion of privacy and stealing. and then offer to share some, i know if my roomate had a pound in his closet and i was craving for a joint, id want him to share with me, wouldnt you?

Thats right sit down with him have a chat. He could be ramming that big plastic tube in his ass for all you know, prob because your not servicing him.
Seriously get a barrel with lid and bury it underground at dawn,cover tracks, near the beach etc as the sand is 10X easier to dig than clay.

Confront him...then buy a small safe....and If you have doubts about someone living under your roof then you need to address that issue appropriately because your safety and privacy is important.

If you have it in a cab, or drawer, just set up a thread or something in a position how you will notice for sure if it's moved, but not easy to see.

I had the same problem with my old roommate,it was my girlfriends friend,she had know him since elementary school.
she trusted him so when I told her he was stealing she diddent believe me,thought I was just smoking a lot and spending more than I remember.
but needless to say a couple grams here and there,and $20 here and there adds up quickly.
he had a good job,paid rent,but would not buy anything to smoke for himself,occasionally he would but a $10 from me roll a joint for himself for the bar and smoke the rest in a bowl with me.

just go to the big W mart.
a gun safe is cheep,and they come in many sizes,get a fireproof one and put your valuables and photos in there.
is the roommate asks why your locking your stuff up,say just in case of a fire
