Last night my seeds broke ground in there jiffy pellets, hooray! this morning I woke up and they were all dried out shrivled up and dead, very sad :( not really looking for advice just sharing my unimaginable sadness with the world :( I thought I was keeping them moist enough but I guess I failed.

Nest your pellet in a solo cup of perlite. The perlite retains alot of water your pellet won't dry out so quickly.
Poke some holes in the bottom of the solo cup for drainage.

I started germing my freebies a day or 2 ago incase something like this happened. Hopefully these ones make it, i'll just hold off longer on putting them under my lights. They were labeld Auto jack, Auto Purple, WW x AMS (white widow from Amsterdam medical seeds?) and BB x SS (no clue). And I know where to get some clones of my old white widow plant which was a beast so I might grab 1 or 2 of them.

A little water in a container under the pucks is needed, or a dome for a few day's at least to keep them moist until transplant. Hindsight is always 20/20 though as they say. Very sorry for your loss. I just lost 11 seed's due to that shit called Rapid Rooter. Only 1/2 came up, drowned the rest. Good luck on your next try. Peace

I did the exact same thing. I will never germ in a rapid rooter again. I only use the rapid rooters for clones now. Thank God the ones I didn't murder came through as females. Very nice gift after that ordeal.

Like you said in the intro Adjorr, you know what you are doing. Mother Nature has a way of keeping us humble. Jiffy pellets are fine for seeds, so are a million other ways.

Better luck next time bro.

If you wanna clone, try the root riot cubes. They have to stay moist as well, but its not too hard, try the perlite trick in a cup, or even just a short, wide Tupperware container with a little water in the bottom that the cube can sit in, so it doesn't dry out.

They are a little pricey, like $30 for 100 cubes, but well worth it for the success rate people have.

Oh....man....bin there! I now root clones in 1 inch rockwool cubes that are sitting on the open holes of my ez-cloner for that reason...this dumbass can't remember the small things(like a little water every day?) and have lost many this way. Its sucks but at least you had a back up plan...cudo's
