Android Supreme's First Grow/DNA's Sour Cream/CFL

Tight thanks, I'll pick those up later today probably.

If I have two fans for exhaust both totaling to about 60 cfm and just a passive intake, will the room be well ventilated? The Secret Jardin's have those velcro up intakes that are little rectangles and I feel if I have a couple of those open, the room might get enough intake and I can just use the two computer fans I have now as exhaust.

So this afternoon I made a trip to walmart and got distilled water like I was advised to earlier. Also this afternoon, my grow tent arrived. I set it up and took pics. I've got two 32 watt CFLs and two 20 watt CFLs like 4 inches from the plant. It's doing fairly well so far.

I just have a question about nutrients and I would REALLY love an answer. I see that with nutrients, they always say per gallon. But seeing how my plants are very small, 1 gallon is a lot for them. I could mix a gallon of nutrient water and use it but by the time the whole gallon is used up, the nutrients will be like "sterile." Any advice on solving this problem or how to mix a smaller batch of nutrient water for smaller plants?

whatever it says to do, use half of that! try that, always worked for me..I would just bring it down to a smaller ratio ya know?

I am using that cheap ass Schultz It says use 7 drops per Qt. So There is about 4 QT's In a gallon. So I got my gallon of distilled water(4qt's) I am going to use half strength so instead of 28 drops in the gallon I use about 12 drops in the gallon(half Strength). You don't give the plant the whole gallon you just make your premixed Feeding water and give it as much water as it needs ya know.

So I'm seeing some good growth in my plant. I kind of over watered the otherday and the leaves were looking wilted. I took the plant out of the little pot that it was in and put the plant in a bigger pot where moisture would be able to spread itself out more instead of all the water sitting right by my roots. I put the plant outside to dry it out as well and after an hour it had surprisingly perked up a shitload. I left the pot out there a little longer and then brought it back inside.

Here are some pics I took this afternoon. I'm hoping my first actual fan leaf will be coming in soon. I'm gonna buy the fox farm Big Bloom/ Grow Big/ Tiger Bloom nutrient trio and start in about a week. Other than that, shit's goin well and I'm looking to see some exciting growth in the next couple weeks.

Here ya go. The ruler in the picture is an 18 inch ruler. This is the 2ftx2ftx5ft one. The 1.5ftx1.5ft would probably be better for one plant, I got a lot of extra room, haha.

hey thanx man this really helps. I think i will go with the 1.5ftx1.5ft. how is it light wise? is it 99% lightproof? Basically what im asking is are you satisfied with it, and are there nethings that you dont like about it

Yeah light-wise it's really good. I did a bunch of research before choosing the Secret Jardin tent instead of others and one of the reasons was that the site I read said that the Secret Jardin's appear to be the most light proof out of the box (without having to make any adjustments). I'm very satisfied with mine although I kind of wish I went with the smaller one, especially since I'm only growing 1 plant. But it has plenty of exhaust holes and nice vents that work really well as passive intake. It was easy to set up and it's durable. The only light I can see once it's all zipped up is from the exhaust holes and a little hole along the stitching every once in a while which is something all growtents will have. I'd recommend it definitely.

Looking good so far. Sub'd!
I have two SC's in flower right now.
With that tent you should invest in a 150 or even a 250 watt HPS.
You won't be disappointed. Far superior to cfl's.
Also if you want IMO the best nutrients and the best prices try these.

I was definitely gonna get a 150 watt hps as soon as possible because yeah it's way better than cfls. I just gotta get the money first. 250w I think would get too hot inside my space and I'm not that great with ventilation so I'd probably have a problem.

In other news, I'm probably going to be acquiring some more plants here pretty soon. A relative of mine who I have just found out is also a grower is having his house foreclosed and he needs people to take his 15+ plants of his hand. I'm probably gonna take 2 or 3. He also has an 800w hps, a 400w hps, and a 250w mh light that he said I could have. Unfortunately the 400 and 800 watt are way too much but although the 250 gets hot, I may give it a shot, what do you guys think? My space is 2x2x5ft. I could probably have an oscillating fan going in there along with my current intake and outtake and the air flow could be between the light and the plants. But I'm also not too interested in mh lights considering cfls work for vegging and are much cheaper.

ive dnt have much experience with HPS, but i know in order to use them you have to have good ventilation because they put out way more heat than cfl's! Like i always say, if/when i get the space to work with an HPS then I will def get one, but until then its cfl's lol

You could deff make the 250 work and get much denser buds :)
For sure go with that. I'd snag all the lights available to you
because this shit is so addicting you'll want em later I promise.
I just put a 150watt hps with cfl supplemental lighting for a total
of 267 watts and my temps run 84 at the hottest point.
You should look up diy Co2 that can help combat heat and thicken up buds.

I picked up my relatives 250w MH light this afternoon. I gotta buy some chains and stuff to hang it tomorrow but that's cheap. I'm picking up a better inline fan from home depot. Pushes 160 cfm for my 20 cubic ft room so I think it's enough ventilation. I also got a little desk fan that I'm going to set up to blow between the light and the plant to help keep temps down. With all that I think I should be good. I'll post some pics once I get the MH light set up. I'm gonna use this until I can afford to buy my own 250w mh/hps switchable light because i can't keep this one forever unfortunately. Also from my relative, I'm picking up two more plants to take care of while he finds a place to move so that should be exciting. I was worried about electric bill until I did some research and found out that 250w isn't gonna cost that much at all and I could even afford 250w plus supplemental CFL lighting on the sides. I figure with that setup, my harvest should be quite good.
