I'm looking at getting two of these to cover my 4 zones. Any thoughts? I hope I'm not missing something. I'm planning on ordering one, installing and then deciding if I need to change anything.

are you planning on diy and if so why not get one with pre charged lines so you dont hafta pull a vacuum with the refrigerant usually you need a license to purchase the refrigerant. another dumb question why get two condensers vs one condenser with 4 heads instead if you get one condenser its half the electrical work. also if your installing a split does this mean your gona build a sealed room with co2 enrichment :eyesmoke: then you can push those hlgs to the max at 20" from the canopy lol

I suggest using multi a/c vs multi zones for mini splits . If one fails u def have options till it’s repaired. For my 20x40 room I have two 24k BTu minisplits and have them on sep sides of room. at start of grow I only need one but the deh (2 quest make almost 50% heat btu)

I had zero issues with precharged lines, the Mr cool’s have been in my room for almost 4 years and zero issues. I would suggest to also capture all deh and a/c water and since these a/c are intended for summer season I had a issue till I corrected it cause My water deh from the a/c woild freeze outdoors. that water like form deh is very valuable and def worth the extra effort. I was surprised I didn’t see anyone mention the obviousness if u install a mini split or similiar a/c to use the drain and recover that and aalso the issue with it going outdoors it will freeze .

GG #4 flipped 5/6. I'm wondering if tomato cages might save me from trellising.
I used to make little cages for my plants so that I could move them around still. I went to Lowe’s or Home Depot and got a roll of green coated metal fencing with 2x3” holes. I was able to cut off a section and just fold it right at the wire lines to create the corner posts. Each side was 6 inches wide and the whole thing was like 18 inches tall. I snipped up a couple middle sections off the bottom and was able to slide the corner posts right down into my 6 inch pots.

they worked great for keeping the heavy plants upright, and any branches that did make it through were easily supported. With them fitting inside the pots they also didn’t take up any more space in my trays.

The cages are pretty light so I am not sure this will work. I'd love to see pics of your set up. With the Floraflex pot caps I can't put anything into the pots themselves so they have to be freestanding.

this isn’t the best picture but it’s the best I’ve got. you can kinda zoom in and see the cages. Each cage only has one wire going into each corner of the pot, so it might still fit with your caps was my initial thought. They were nice and stable too.

Another idea would be to drill a couple holes in the top edge of the pot and just zip tie them on for the duration of the run. Be fast and easy to undo.

That's my new minisplit. It's a three zone 27k with an 18k air handler for my multi room:

a 9K air handler (ceiling cassette) for my dedicated flower room (all open table pollinations occur here)

linesets and wall bracket

I'm only installing for 1/2 my area. If these work as I hope I'll add another. But this will get me familiar with it's capabilities and costs to run so I can make upgrades without, too much, pain. So expect my grow to look very neglected LOL

Looks like work.
Massive, and thick manuals, intimidating but this is why I went to college so I could .... wait no that's wrong. I went to college so I could pay people to do this. Oh dear I forgot that part

Actually I fear rippers to the point I don't want anyone knowing I grow. I live in the hood in a north LA suburb. You don't want people knowing you grow here.

Some Pink Sunset (pheno #1) she smokes lovely and the high is fun, happy, euphoric get up and get shit done stuff. I like it. Unfortunately as I was going through my Koolatron my eyes alighted upon a jar of OG Kush and I'd been reading @cannabiscrusader 's hunt for pine and she has a very pine forward terp. So I smoked her first. I got the pinene as I ground her and nothing pine as I smoked but now that I'm done I'm getting a nice pine aftertaste, very nice.

Well I can still get shit done so let me get moving!
