Does your cat get a lil too friendly with you plants? maybe take a lil taste every now and again? well cats need foliage in their diet and its their natural instinct. so instead of getting upset and barring part of the house off to the lil guy. go out and get some cat grass and plant a little flat of it. i bet $10 that they don't mess with your plants any more

Its really easy to grow and requires next to 0 nutrients to keep happy. my cat can't get enough of it.

Or cat mint, keep a cut-down plastic bottle around with some ammonia water in it since cats don't like it. Smells too much like a dirty litter box and you KNOW how the just LOVE those. Cigarette butts in water can be effective too and can be used as an organic pest control, but BEWARE!! The liquid is not only foul smelling but highly poisonous.

both sound like they would work but i couldn't ever put that out for fear of accident with my cat or my soon to be daughter. my house is my cats house too so i treat her like one of the family. cats tend to only be destructive out of revenge, I've learned that they are a lot easier to find alternatives to their wants then to deny them. i can just see my cat now smelling the ammonia she would piss somewhere else in return just to let me know how much she liked it.

im gonna get some mint/nip join before too long also but she tends to shy away from it when she doesn't want to get her buzz on the grass is a definite all the time distraction from the rest of the plants. she still walks around and sniffs and checks out every plant including the little baby clones, but she won't bite them anymore when the grass is around to eat.

Good idea, i actually leave a few bottom branches on my plants just so my cat can eat them lol

i was thinking about doing the same but I'm so worried she will take advantage of one when its a bit too young and then theres no way i can scold her or spray her if she does. does yours actually ingest the leaves all the way or just chew em up and spit em out? mine chewed and spit all the time before i put the grass out. it was weird lol first time i found just little chewed up bits of leaf on the ground i was like WTF KIND OF MITE DO I GOT NOW?!?!

she never even bites them off except for the small piece every now and then. She usually just chews on them and smells them.

ya the hair is a big bummer she usually only sheds much if i am really scratching her. I've been messin with ideas but she likes to come charging in the bud room and even has a lil corner to herself with a blanket to lay on in there. I've noticed a few hairs here and there probably 20 or so in total over the few weeks they've been in bud and il just grab em off. figure il do my best when trim time comes. i know this is kinda a whack way at looking at it but its all about compromises with cats. if i keep her brushing up every other day it usually keeps it to a minimum

maybe il get her a lil tyvek suit that will keep any mites she finds out too lol.
