energy, its all over energy. and we have goons in this country trying to pack sand up our asses that the planet has a fever. so we are gonna do real nifty things with big windmills and solar panels that will put out enough energy for you to run a ceiling fan for an entire hour per day. yep, these babies will work. all we have to do is pray the wind never stops and they outlaw toaster ovens.

hey tree hugging whacko libs. if we dont start building nuclear power we are headed for the same. power, cheap power, is what gives us our freedoms. lets start competing globaly and making cheap power.

Going Nuclear.
The smart desision.
We need 200 new plants.

The new plant designs are so much cleaner,
safer and more efficent then the old ones.

i don't understand the purpose of this post...

nuclear power, it's usable, the problem is disposing of all the nuclear waste...

if there is some sort of solution to the problem (the nuclear waste), other than the current sinking in pools of 100 foot deep distilled water for the better part of the next million years, i'm all for it....

ummm, ever heard of france? almost total nuclear. most of western europe, china, russia, dittos. your president just gave the iranians permission to build nuclear power plants. who do you think will dispose of nuke waste better, iran, or the us? i live within 200 miles of at least 5 nuke plants that i can think of, probably more. welcome to the twenty first century.

i'm not talking about russia europe or whatever, i personally don't mind anyone having nuclear energy....

i'm just saying there has to be a better way to dispose of the waste.... you might think it's not a big deal, but it's not a pile of cmpost that will just waste away.... it's gonna be here for a LONG time. it's radioactive, and most importantly, it's not natural on earth, in that ultra radioactive state, so the results of manufacturing and storing all that radio-active materials are unknown.

NO ONE can tell us what's gonna happen to the earth once all that radio-active material is manufactured.... it doesn't waste away, it has to be stored in pools of distilled water, it has to sit there, for more than a thousand, perhaps hundred thousand years, before it's safe to dispose of some other way......

uhhhhh, most "nuclear waste" can be reused in one form or another, plus advances in this field are growing at an exponential rate

also, compared to the amount of unwanted by products gasoline and other forms of energy (including solar power and windmills, "green" solutions) produce, nuclear power really doesnt produce that much

Iran won't have to dispose of their waste. They'll just sell it to dirty-bombers.

iran needs to get lit up like a christmas tree if they pursue their nuclear interests

its simple, anytime we hear of a nuclear installation, or they test a missle, just to make a point blow up a few of their military sites

no need to invade, just hit them from the sea and give them a middle finger

if they try it again, hit another target and another target.

starting with the presidential palaces

about the only thing that would need to happen in order for this to hppen, obama to isreal, "bomb what you need to bomb, we got your back". end of problem. it may eventually come down to that for isreal with or without bams blessing. but i worry what bam would do/say if they took it into their own hands. i dont think he would have their back at all. i think just the opposite.

Yeah, what in the world would we do with all of the nuclear waste?

As alternate measures, how about:

Burning wood: But then, what about the ashes, smoke and destroyed trees?

Kerosene lamps: But then, what about the pollution?

Revert to horse travel: But then, what about all of the horse shit?

Convert to candles: But then, what about the fire hazard and eye strain?

Build wind mills: What happens when the wind stops blowing?

Solar? What happens when the sun doesn't shine?

Any serious discussion about clean energy cannot be taken seriously unless nuclear energy is part of the discussion.
