Day 21 update on the CK's in 5 gal pots. Still trying to get a handle on how much to up my nutes under these CXA's,5 gal pots with super soil on the bottom just can't supply enough feed and I don't want to go bigger on the pots so I'm supplementing. Supra, the foxtailing can be random and I'm thinking it's more genetic with all things being equal. Last run under these CXA's my deathstar completely foxtailed and next to it the LSD foxtailed much, much less, the cabinet runs a little warm and I think its can contribute to it. These CXA's are amazing and it looks like it will be another high grams per watt yield, they're just covered in buds. I left one light over the back of each plant on for the pics and they are so bright that it's glare blanked out the back of the plants in the pics,it looks like the plants are bare on the back but they are loaded all the way around. I'll use some different lighting for the rest of my pics.
have you ever tried botanicare's soil formula? it works really, really well
with a mild strength soil IME. the soil version has less nitrogen than the
coco and hydro version. around here the tap water is about ~130ppm
and pH 7.4 so I used just enough botanicare to get the pH down to 6.3-6.5
and it came out about 400-500ppm. the calcium in the tap water kept
even my most calcium hungry babe (ORGNKID's banana kush cut)
happy under the LEDs. it was also really convenient to be able to use
a single bottle nutrient solution as a feeding and pH corrector. the vanilluna
nug in my avatar was grown the same way, but using general organics
bio thrive bloom, single bottle style. i just thought the bio thrive had too
much nitrogen for the soil mix i used.
