I was wondering about the flower initiator. According to the man that sells them:
http://growlightsource.com/products/the-flower-initiator-and-booster-grow-lights/, one 20 watt light (730 nm) is good for 16' x 16' = 0.16 meters. For 1 square meter you need 6.25 of those 20 watt leds, 125 watts. The efficiency is max 7.2%, so you have 9 par watt on 1 square meter. If you choose the osram ssl and calculate the watts you need based on their efficiency (36%), you need 25 watts. Major difference if you ask me.
My problem now is: do I put the Osrams on a different circuit so I can switch them off seperate from the 3070's (or let them on for 7 minutes after light out) or should I put them between the 3070's in series? If I put them in series with the 3070's, they (maybe) will not go fast to sleep when the lights are going out? Or am I mistaken?
Last run I used two 10 watt red epileds (with eff of max 7%, and up to the cealing) with a light schedule of 13.5/10.5 and had no hermies. Strange if you ask me... Or do the plants not use the low par light in the epileds? Can anyone clarify this to me?
