Keep up the great work.
Waiting for the drill press to come in before I set up the work space. Already broke and tap and drill. Decided to wait. Thought a pic of a box of cobs and holders and a box of drivers and pile of heatsinks was kind of boring. Needed a bit more flair for the dramatic. Should be able to post something tomorrow or ThursdayWhere are the pics?
I'm using a little 60$ drill press that was on sale at home depot. With the smaller drill bits for sure use plenty of cutting fluid or wd-40 also makes hand tapping a breeze as well...Waiting for the drill press to come in before I set up the work space. I really like @Growmau5 YouTube series. A bit over simplified depending on your build, but he does a great job of making it feel as simple as it is. He also outlines multiple techniques which I find helpful. The whole process isn't difficult per say, just time consuming and easy to mess up if you rush.First post.....lol. You guys make this stuff sound so easy. I'm dying to build one for a 3x3 tent but I'm just not convinced it's as easy as you fellas make it. Are there any suggested reading or videos out there? FWIW I've seen most videos on here describing the subject.
Roger that. Thanks brother!!I really like @Growmau5 YouTube series. A bit over simplified depending on your build, but he does a great job of making it feel as simple as it is. 94% lumen maintenance at 10K hrs or 833 days of 12/12What's the shelf life of lights like these for 12/12 or 18/6?
not sure if this was directed at me. These videos have been extremeley insightful but doesnt go into detail on the differences of outcome growing under different COB fixtures at different Kelvin rating. Im seeing some people are getting tighter nodes under higher kelvin, but some say they are not
I am interested in the 4000k flowering difference alsonot sure if this was directed at me. How much spacing are you getting currently on your nodes?I am interested in the 4000k flowering difference also
I have 3000K and 3500K presently
It wasn't directed at you as much as posted as a link to a resource. The best documentation of growing with different kelvin cobs that I have seen is GreenGenes707's thread, here is a link...not sure if this was directed at me. It's a huge thread but very much worth the read...
I did my vegging under blurple leds, next run will be under cobs onlyHow much spacing are you getting currently on your nodes?
Thanks brother.94% lumen maintenance at 10K hrs or 833 days of 12/12
70%Lumen maintenance at 50K hrs or 4,166 days 12/12
I dont know what temp these are at so Ill guess its a the 85*C they refer to when measuring lumens
Running them cooler can only prolong those figures.

NP, now I just hope all that info is accurate! Thanks brother.
sub'd spounge mode beginsWhat are the different results people are getting under different Kelvin lights on the COBS? I am limited for height so im considering moving to more 4000K or up for main grow if that is going to lend more towards shorter inter nodal growth. I know its not quite related but hopefully one of you has some insight or can shed some info
